I'm actually curious about the measurements now. I imagine it will be similar to a little less. The stock skid is like paper and sits pretty close to the tank where I imagine this one will have a little gap and its much thicker. Who knows. I'm hoping it will get rid of my driveshaft issues too. I blew that zirc off the driveshaft a while ago

Today was rather productive. Spark plugs are changed, Any7 skid is on, and my truck is all cleaned and waxed. The plugs that were in it were single ground which goes against the sticker on the engine but they're replaced now. My skid went on pretty well. I had to pound out a section as it was cutting into the gas tank mount strap but it wasn't difficult at all. After that just some BFH work and it was on! As far as clearance goes I'm the same in the front with a better angle and I gained a half inch in the rear.

Oh ill try! Might have to wait till I get back to CO since there isn't much in the way of offroading in OK. On a side note and speaking of dents, do you ever hit you belly skid? I've hit my front skid, old gas tank skid, sliders, bumpers but never my belly skid. I scraped it once and it wasn't even enough to take the primer off.

Looking awesome and sick, as usual, Tyler! Your 4Runner looks really clean, I like the ARB! Still a bit curious as to what exactly you did to the ARB - do you perhaps have some side by side/before/after photos? I've heard of people trimming them, but I'm not sure where people do...

Thanks man. It would look better with a sticker cough cough. Ill try and do a side by side. I didn't trim as much as some but I did enough to eliminate my rubbing and improve the looks IMHO.

The gas tank skid looks great man! Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for it? Annual bonus time is rolling around and I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with it...

350 bones. I'm not sure how solid of a price that is though. When I was ordering mine he tried to get a quote from UPS and they never replied. So we settled on 350 for the skid and shipping. Then he went and shipped it. It could have been more or less I dunno. I can't say enough about Darren as a business owner. He will treat you right. And the skid is beef to the max. Atleast in my case it was cheaper for me to buy his than Gerdo's skid.

It's the shipping that gets ya. I think his base price was 290 IIRC. Which isn't that far off a BudBuilt skid and this is a little more complex to make. Shipping is a bear though because all the mounts stick up and are welded on for strength.

Yeah that makes sense...Shipping heavy items is always a PITA and really expensive, but there's not much you can do about it...

The skid is looking great TCMach. I'm glad another t4r member decided to pick one of Darren's skids up. Darren Adam and Phil are great guys and really easy to work with. So far mine is holding up great. It took a pretty good beating last weekend with no dents what so ever. I think you will be really happy with it man.

One thing to keep in mind. I had to trim additional material along the inside edge due to driveshaft and diff housing clearance. Granted I have a ton more axle movement than most as my suspension cycles. If you take a look at the any7 thread I started, you will see what I mean by extra Clearancing.

I'm really happy with the skid. Can't thank you enough for getting Any7 into building skids haha. If only I hadn't bought my Budbuilts already I would have the full set. Unfortunately it looks like I'm stuck not wheeling for a while (job :mad2
so I won't be able to bash it or look at my clearance. Ill have to find a ditch I can flex on. I'm pretty sure I don't have your level of flex though, I'm still in the minor leagues compared to you

Thanks man! The skid is definitely beefy. I'm chomping at the bit to go wheel. But I'll have to wait a bit. I should have a major change coming up soonish so ill really be ready to wheel then! How is the LC coming? I can't wait to see how it ends up.
