TCMach's Build Thread

I do like to mall crawl at Disneyland but I get kicked out for flexing on the steps of the castle.

Did you order what I did? Haha. How is that sticker coming? I've got cash waiting.

I ordered what I made for you, yes! I didn't get another one for myself though, but I did a couple of friends/other people's orders too, like one guy wanted one with canyon walls instead of a summit. Waiting to hear back about the sticker!

Oh I got lost there haha. For some reason when you said order placed two days ago I thought you meant you bought something from ECGS too. That's why I said "did you get what I got too". Oh well. Either way I'm stoked to see how this will turn out. With all that business you should make a company selling badass decals

LOL, I wish! That'd be awesome, but no, I didn't get anything from ECGS. Not a good graphic designer, at least not full time, not creative enough! But thanks! Very excited to see it on your rig! :)

Just placed an order with East Coast Gear Supply :bounce:. What could it be?

Also picked up some 3/16" steel to make some RCAM skids. I hit one pretty good when I went wheeling at Disney. Plus I miss welding:Cry:

Hell yeah!

You don't have to a that good though. Us 4x4 guys just like words with a little picture sometimes. Just like what you did. I dunno man you could make a killing haha.

Hell yeah!

Yea buddy. I got you!

My box from ECGS came :bluejump:

what could it be!

Its a locker

I know auto-lockers are a matter of opinion whether or not you like them. But I do haha. I think it's less things to break (wires/air lines, whatever), and less cash (the more important one). It should go in this month sometime. Along with new upper links, RCAM skids, and lower link skids (those of you who are into LCs probably know what I'm doing on the cheap). However I have to get to a welder to make all that so it will depend on when I get into my friends shop.

well here is when I got a little funky. What you see is actually a \_/ kinda thing. I'm straddling the bottom of it and the picture was taken from the top of one side. I tried to go up the slope the picture was taken on and couldn't get to it. It was just too loose. When I backed up I was caught next to this tree and eventually kissed it. No dent, but it didn't buff out that's for sure.

Thanks man! I've got so much sweat equity in it I'm glad it wasn't a waste.

That's my goal here. To pass on the best part of the forum, emptying your wallet due to jealousy. :bounce:

Well this is a somewhat belated post but whatever! I recently put a Lock right in the rear end. It really was a piece of cake to install (shoutout to smkd13 for his badass write up). So far I love the on road handling. I have zero problems with it and its actually really quiet. I'll post a follow up when I've had it in a few more conditions.

Pictars!

Thanks bud. Glad it was helpful/useful.

And that is a salvage yard part. Most all salvage/junkyard mark items that way web they inventory them. I have the Same kinda marking on my core support.

No problem it was definitely worth it. Weird I wonder why it was replaced. I wasn't aware of any problems.

You wouldn't notice one but generally they will do it sometimes just to replace a bearing or what not. You never know sometimes. Oh and I had the same markings on one of my axle shafts too come to think of it. They were replaced before I bought the truck.

I got a few things done in the couple weeks leading up to my return to Colorado. First we will look at metal stuff.

I've wanted to get some Toytec LCA skids for a while....but I'm cheap. So enter some 3/16" angle iron. I've seen this done on some Landcruisers so why not a T4R?

Cut
IMG_3865.jpg

Mounted
IMG_3886.JPG

IMG_3889.jpg

Before I painted them I sprayed some lithium grease in the bottom of the angle to protect from rust. Then I sealed the gaps with caulking. If I were to do it again I would use 1" width angle iron where I used 1.25". It would leave a little less to fill in after welding.

Second I dealt with my cargo box issue. I carry a craftsman 154 piece tool set in my box at all times along with a bunch of other junk. The problem is when I have to pull the tools out everything I have slides where the toolbox was. So I have to take everything out every time. Enter a piece of metal!

No good
IMG_3893.jpg

Very good
IMG_3899.JPG

I also have something else that I hope to get finished tomorow
