Hate to say it youngster, but this forum might not be the right place for you. Check out the Facebook page 3rd Gen Mafia. You will fit right in there.

This from the guy that has Spicoli Quoted in bold in his sig.
who's taking who to seriously.

Toyota imported more than 700K of these things, we will all be dead and there will be plenty roaming the planet, let the kid hack that B!tch up.

You go kid. and post it so we all get a good laugh...

Yeah, I have a healthy sense of humor but BS posts like the OPs aren't the norm on this forum. The reason why I steered him to 3rd Gen Mafia is that page is full of people posting stupid shit and full of people with smartass comments when somebody is looking for help with something. I do find some of it entertaining but I know it must be frustrating when somebody is looking for help and 75% of the comments are people talking shit.

If you haven't figured it out yet, this forum is different from a lot of others. It's filled with great people and you can pretty much find good advice every time you post a thread for help. If the kid has come here for legitimate help and also to contribute, that's great. If he's here to just post stupid shit and talk shit, this really isn't the right venue for him.

He didn't walk in first post with this, He has a few posts, all on the theme of Cheap, does he sound like a kid? yes.
But rather than steer him away and have him build a truck that's a rolling deathtrap with open exhaust that we all cuss.

Maybe start with...
A cold air intake may not always do what is claimed, most often they will cause intake temps. to be higher than stock, and may not protect your engine as well especially in an off road situation, Do some research before spending money.
Straight piping your 3.4? again, may not get the gains your looking for, but a good high flow cat and muffler will help your motor be more efficient, it will breath better. you may see some minor gains, These motors were never meant to be hotrods, but ask around, if you treat it right it will go 300K plus.

ECT is an acronym for Electronically Controlled Transmission
No more power, it just raises the shift points, keeping the motor wound up, It may seem like HP because your holding the shift.

If your going to cut it up, don't be a nuisance to your neighbors, We hate that Sh*t.

Just my thoughts..
My 17 year old is driving a 400 HP LS swapped drift car as his Daily, So maybe my opinion my be skewed.

It was funny, sorry to turn it into something.

I understand what you're saying but I think you missed the point of the OPs post. It was purely for entertainment. There was absolutely nothing serious in his post. It was done purely to see how people would respond. We rarely get posts like this on our forum and it's a good thing. 3rd Gen Mafia on a daily basis has dudes asking questions like if they can fit 35s without a lift and other stupid stuff just to get comments from the peanut gallery. Sure, some of it is funny, but we certainly don't want this forum turning into that. I think it's great this kid's first vehicle is a 3rd Gen 4runner and I hope he has a blast driving it and wrenching on it. My first rig was a 68 Bronco and that started me in my learning about auto mechanics.

So, if the kid wants to learn and contribute, that's great. If he's looking for a platform to just BS and screw around, I don't think this is the best place for it, because as you have seen by the other responses, I'm not the only one slamming him.

But you didnt reply to the OP, you replied to a young man that agrees with most of us that the OP is on drugs. LOL

"If he's looking for a platform to just BS and screw around, I don't think this is the best place for it". Wait! But I get away with it!

To the OP's defense, I remember back in high school when my friend and I thought it was a great idea to drill holes into his muffler.

I remember something like that, too. My buddy bought a Nova with a straight-6 in it. I think my mom's VW Dasher diesel 48hp wagon was faster than that Nova. I went over to his house one day, and he crawled out from under his car with a 16-penny nail in one hand, and a hammer in the other. "WTH are you doing"?, I asked.

He had perforated the hell out of his muffler. It didn't make it any faster, but it sure sounded real, real fast. Not sure what they are called these days, but he wanted it to sound like what we call "glass pack" mufflers in the 80s. And it did. He is probably still just as dumb.

They still sell glass packs. My neighbor has one on his Taco & sounds awesome.

I thought the light bars were for hunting down chicks after Friday night football, or to turn on when its foggy so you can "see better".

I thought everyone put them on the windshield for extra wind-resistance, its a little like a workout, for your 4runner

OP, these are all really good tips. Thanks for your contribution to the forum. I'm considering adding these to my cookie cutter builds.
