For any high school kids interested, I have my rotted stock replacement exhaust sitting behind my mechanic's shop. It is mindblowingly loud, in case your neighbors already didn't complain that your stock 4Runner is excessively loud on cold startup.

For all of you that have just recieved a 4runner or are just looking to make yours faster without spending much money you came to the right place. I have always wished I had read a thread like this when I got my 4runner.
Buy a COLD AIR INTAKE, CUT OFF YOUR MUFFLER, TURN ON ECT POWER MODE.

I never knew about ECT power mode, it really make you faster with the click of a button

The cold air intake is the only money you will have to spend and it really helps that get and go feeling. (K&N 57-9015-1 FIPK Performance Air Intake System)THIS WILL MAKE YOUR CAR LOUDER AND HAVE THE SWOOOOSH SOUND.
You can also do the DECKPLATE MOD but the cold air intake makes your engine look 2x better

And Simply, cutting off the muffler will make your truck LOUDER AND FASTER

THE THIRD GEN 4RUNNER WAS NOT MADE TO BE RACED OR TURBO'd. IT WAS MENT TO GET THE GET ****ED UP/SEND IT AND KEEP DRIVING LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. THESE STEPS WILL MAKE YOU SMILE WHEN YOU HIT THE THROTTLE. :infidel:

Cutting off the muffler is a great idea, but it only works if you put a banana in your tail pipe to maintain proper back pressure.

I’m guessing it’s been awhile since you graduated. There’s even dumber(?) dumbasses than this kid. I coach high school kids and for the most part it’s gotten worse and I’m not much older than them. I graduated in ‘10.
