Thanks Brandon,

next is to install the 99 center console I got recently and I picked up a 99 dash bezel. I will have my 99+ interior before you know it. I have a couple of pieces left to get for the bezel. some wiring connectors and a piece of duct. Then Front and Rear Bumpers and possibly a ford rear tank conversion.

But most of that is on hold as we just had our second Son on Tuesday and we are not sleeping much less working on runners. LOL
 
Congrats!!! Glad your son and wife are doing great. Your 4runner is looking awesome and looking forward to the rest of the build.

Thanks guy. Mom and Son are doing great and big brother is beginning to adjust to not being the center of attention. LOL its hard being 2 and a half. It won't be long before I get back to tinkering with the runner ;):
 
well its been a couple of months since I've had any time to work on the runner. We are having a great time with the new addition to the family. So I had some time off today to actually do a little work on it. I've had two projects sitting on the shelf for 3 months.

First was to finally get my ARB compressor installed and get everything plumbed and wired.

I plumbed the air lines inside 1/4 inch vacuum lime to protect them from rubbing or melting on anything.

Just about had everything wired up and could not find the connector that goes to the harness. Everything was already closed so tomorrow I will go down and pick up a four wire connector and be done and ready to wheel locked front and rear.

The second project I've had sitting on the shelf was a set of new 99+ head lights. Went from this

I just wanted to ask you about how many threads you have showing on the Kings to get the ride height you have with those LC 8 wraps.

so i know im coming late to the game, but this is the first time ive looked at your build and for give me if its already been said, but basically you bought a supercharger and got a 4runner for free...? :wtf::boink::bravo::cheers:

JB I just counted and I have 20 threads showing on the Drivers side and 18 on the Passangers side. I love how it sits but I will probably take 2 threads out of each side to soften the front up just a bit until I get a front bumper on there. Right now the 550 lbs springs will not let me fully stuff the front end close but not quite. On the street it is a dream.

Yep that is about right. LOL If you haven't had a chance you should do a quick read of my previous build. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/67825-so-begins-99-runner-build.html I love this runner and feel very privileged to have it. let the building continue:fishing:


By the way I am doing a easy run on Sunday Afternoon and finally get to test out the front and rear ARB's. Can't wait!!
 
So this afternoon I got to go out with some friends for a little wheeling. there were 7 trucks and ranged from bone stock to fairly built so it was slow going but we had a great time. Smokey ran great and the front and rear lockers were really night and day. Taking a really capable Runner and making it a great wheeler. unfortunately it also resulted in a twisted front axle shaft. I was climbing a slab of rock about 6 feet tall and got a little wheel hop and spin. What is odd is that the outer cv twisted and I was able to drive out in 2wheel drive with the rear locker staying to the bypasses of course. The axle will come out tomorrow and go back to O'rilley's for a warrantee replacement. Lifetime on their reman's. Super fun day but I didn't get any pic's but hopefully some of the other guys will have and I will post them up soon.
 
So I changed out the axle and am good to go. I twisted the outer CV. I did warranty return on my Oriley's New lifetime warranty CV and got Reman OEM's with Lifetime warranty.

hey man been reading on both ur 3rd gen builds love them both was wondering if u ever had a chance to mess with the disc brake rear end and get the ebrake working? also are u still happy with doing the swap my drums are locking up and im tired of messing with them and really like the set up u did especially if u got that ebrake working

Thanks, The Brakes are working great, I love them. As far as the ebrake I haven't got that one done yet. I have a couple of Ideas but haven't got to try either one out. I think it is a great upgrade.
