There's a Ghost in my radio...

Was driving on the highway the other night and out of nowhere, my radio started skipping... not music, but volume. The display went from 28 to 45 to 42 to 33 to 39 and then back to 42. The display changed, and so did the volume, so you can imagine my confusion going from 28 to 45 to start... I turned off the radio (stock HU, JBL) and turned it back on and it seemed to be ok.

But just like the Paranormal Activity movies, this one wasn't done.

This morning it started again, almost same sequence. So who wants to take a stab at wth is going on?


Unrelated sidenote: Ordered my new license plates today. Puck Frius was deemed "inappropriate" so I went with Plan B...

Sometimes when I go to turn mine down it jumps all over to and I think it is the reostat that is dirty, I have to clean the reostats on my bass amp here and there and they work just fine.

JBL's are known for skitzing out, my JBL hu on my 03 sport used to do something similar all the time, the volume knob would just stop working all together. Fun secret, if you turn the key to the start position while the truck is running, it will reset your HU.

Love the license plate, Puck Frius would have been SO much better though :frog:
