disregard found the answers a few pages deeper in the search, I just panicked and hadn't made time to check. Kicking myself for not ordering UCAs before I got the C/Os on but gives me incentive to see what they can do with the factories, then if my tires wear prematurely, Ive got incentive for 285s, though Id like more than a few thousand miles. :embarassed:

Hopefully they can align it well enough not to wear tires, you can screenshot me a copy of the spec sheet and i can take a look at it. However the UCAs allow you to get higher caster which makes the truck handle much better on the highway(less twitchy).

Truck looks great!

Caster is really low, usually you can get them around 2 degrees with .5 deg positive camber. However its showing that they have it slightly toe'd out, while it increases turn in, it makes it wander more on the highway. So getting the UCA and setting it to about 4 deg caster and adjusting toe to be slightly in(+.16deg) will make it drive even better.

So I have another question for the Boss kit owners, I'm 3,000 miles post lift and after the swaybar spacer issue, the squeaks are gone. But now I have another squeak popping up, it sounds almost like when you're walking on a wood floor in an old house and the floorboards would make a noise when you step over it, I know, there's no wood under the 4R, but it's kinda what it sounds like. It happens at low speeds up to 10mph, going straight, turning left and right I get the squeaks.

Anyone else getting this squeak? Is that normal?

I am no expert, we know that by now lol, but I turned the wheel left and right and tried to check for anything that looked out of place as much as I can. If no one else has this squeak, could I get some opinions please? I know it's hard as heck to diagnose anything via pictures, but if you guys could take a look and if you see anything please advise. And if there's something else I should check please let me know. Thanks!

After about 7500mi, mine are still as quiet as the day they went on. The sway bar also hasn't been on since I installed the new setup.

The squeak that you are hearing is probably the sway bar rubbing against the driver side radiator bracket. Mine is doing it pretty bad, I had to order a "bracket spacer" from toytec @$29.99 + shipping. I hope that will fix it because I'm very close to taking the dang sway bar off.:mad2:

I guess I can't compare mine to yours since your sway bar is off. Sounds like the culprit for me is the sway bar...again!

So your sway bar is making contact with the spring and radiator bracket? That sucks! I'm kinda confused with what you're typing. Are you saying you ordered a bracket spacer for the radiator bracket, or you ordered a spacer for the sway bar? If you ordered the complete kit, the sway bar spacer should have been included in your order and you shouldn't be charged for it. Sounds like you didn't get the spacer for the sway bar so I'm not sure if my noise is the same as yours (from the sway bar rubbing the radiator bracket).

But if you are talking about a spacer for the radiator bracket that's a different story. I searched the Toytec website but couldn't find a radiator bracket spacer. Is that something I need to call and make a special request? I wonder if that's something that should have been included too?

Can someone else with a complete boss kit with sway bar on comment on any noise issues or lack of?

Drive the truck for a day and notice another sound coming from the front again, I looked and now the sway bar is touching the radiator bracket, called Toytec again they tell me we have the solution which is an spacer for the bracket and it will be $29.99 + shipping.
It should be on the mail today and it will go on as soon as I get home from work, hopefully that will fix the problem, if not sway bars are coming off.

Can you take a picture of where it is contacting? I think i know where your talking about, And again i believe that all the kits that i have done have come with the small spacers for those 2 brackets, I have also ground down the one small area on the drivers side bracket where it hits.

Like Scott said, if you could take pictures that would be great. I would like to see if it's the same spot that's creating contact.

Thanks for the before and after pics! I checked on my 4R and that's where it was rubbing too. Looks like it's a straight forward unbolt, put spacers in, then bolt on. Do you have any specific torque numbers?

Did you do anything with the rubbed area? I plan on putting some Rustoleom on the sway bar and radiator brackets.

Did your springs get rubbed enough to have anything peel off? I'll have to check the springs again, but IIRC it was barely cracked. If it is cracked and peeled, do you guys think it's ok to put Rustoleom on it, being that it's a moving part do I have to take extra precautions?

Before I call Toytec Monday, what do you guys think about them not including the spacers for the radiator brackets when I ordered the "complete" Boss lift kit. I feel that it should have been included in the kit when I bought it, but after seeing them charge [MENTION=103382]camposturtle[/MENTION] for it maybe I'm missing something? If it's suppose to be included then I would rather not pay for it, but for some reason if that's common practice to be charged for it then I'll deal with it.

Just an FYI that you can go to practically any hardware store and just get some thick washers to space the supports down and away from the sway bar.I think I bought like 1/4" thick ones for fifty cent a piece and did the same thing 4 years ago when I still ran a front sway bar.Those supports were new for 2010's and I was the first to experience the rubbing there. The factory bolts were plenty long enough or you can buy longer bolts at a hardware store if you would feel the need.

To be honest ,those Toytec ones seem awfully thick and over complicated and your liable to run into problems lining up aftermarket skid plate holes if you ever go that route in the future that attach in the same place.Not to mention losing more precious ground clearance.The sway bar doesn't move that much down there.
Icon just includes six of the 1/4" thick washers painted black with there 5th Gen lifts that do the same thing and you can see them in this pic.


Of course KDSS TE's don't need the sway bar relocators or support spacers as the sway bar is different. Same if you don't use the front sway bar like I do!

And where I had the pic explaining where it rubs a few years back and you can see my silver spacers (washers) I used.

I'm going to do this tomorrow with the 1/4" thick washers from the hardware store, weather permitting. And I'll touch up the rubbed areas. Thanks again!

Not all TE comes with KDSS, if you have this on the rear of your truck you have KDSS.
