Seems to be happening on PRO Tundras too. This thread seems to suggest it is the UCAs that is making the noise. Popping sound in front end? - Page 3 - TundraTalk.net - Toyota Tundra Discussion Forum
What's interesting is that some have the clunk while others do not....as well as the pinpointing of the clunk source. I myself do not have the clunk, and have tried numerous times to create it in cold weather with no success.
You got me there[emoji15]Some do not have the clunk but others that do not have it want the clunk.:der:
New to the forum. In fact, my reason for joining the forum today was to research this "clunk". I have a 2016 TRD Pro with 3000 miles on it... and I'm experiencing this clunk just as everyone else describes. So, have there been any updates? I've had it up on my lift and can't find anything out of the ordinary. I also took it to the dealer last week and they didn't see anything wrong either. But, none the less, the clunk still haunts me. 4Runner drives and handles great... just this damn front end clunk coming up through the floor board is driving me nuts. Feels/sounds like a loose strut or a bad bushing... but I just can't find the culprit. Has anyone had any luck with getting any updates from Toyota? I may investigate the shock bushing that a few people referred to. Thanks in advance, great forum!
I too immediately thought of the clunk when I saw that the new Taco Pro has a Fox setup. If the 17 T4R Pro gets the Fox suspension and there is no clunk issue, I say we all deserve a free swap-out for the Fox. Who's with me?
