Seriously? Just the Toytec TRDPro/FJ 2" lift?

I have the same and I am constantly flip-flopping over the next tire size. I would love to go 34"x10.5" BFG KO2 like on yours and they weigh as much as going 275/70/17 BFG KO2.

I am trying to avoid the Body-Mount-Chop and I want to keep the bumpers looking wife-and-kids friendly.

I don't mind getting rid of the mud-flaps or pushing the front, inner, fender liner in. But I would be totally sold on the 34's if they can go on as-is with the TRD setup and the Toytec lift!

I've seen a TRD Pro and Toytec lift with 285/70/17 BFG KO2's and no body mount chop but the front bumper did rub flexing on the trails.

I've got the 285s. No chop or pushing. Only rubs in reverse full lock ever so slightly.....sometimes. After all this time, I still don't see where it rubs since it is so rare and slight.

Yes, just a Toytec TRDP lift. No new UCA, No spacers.... I was just testing it in my driveway for rub, and I haven't had it occur..... YET. (I can balance my truck on two wheels/off camber to do tests) Given how oversprung the 4R is now, (in the front) I doubt that I will be able to really fully compress this unless I'm going fast down dirt mogul filled roads.

Here is the deal, there is no sure way to know with lifts and tires unless if you try. The stacking of tolerances is a tough beast to nail down. What works for me, could be an absolute nightmare for you.

From my experience, tall and narrow tires will always be easier to get away with shenanigans. However, that doesn't mean it always will work. Go to a local Discount Tire / Americas Tire if you have one in your area, and ask for a test fit. They will do it for n/c. I also took into account, and banked on that the BFG's running small.... And they do... I have ran TOYO AT2's in 285x75x17 in the past and there is no way they would fit on my 4R in the picture... So when you read 34 vs another 34, that isn't always the case.... And you have each trucks unique personality to deal with, it only gets harder to formulate a plan.

On a side note, if my 34's would not have fit, I would have skipped the 285's and went with 275's for what its worth. Easier to find, better mpg less wear and tare.

That helps a great deal. I have to find a tire place that would let me try the fit. Chances are that around here it would have to be a special order. But it sounds like I will try the 34"s and if not then the 275's. I know the 34" actually measure out to 33.5" as per the BFG site but I imagine when mounted they turn into 33" and that seems to be the threshold for these things fitting in the 4Runner without requiring cutting metal or new UCA's.

Getting my TRD Pro in a couple weeks! I'm wanting to keep it in my garage so I'm concerned about the height if I were to install the Toytec 2" lift and 285's. Can any of you please do me a favor and someone measure the height (at its absolute tallest point, I'm guessing the satellite antenna or the factory roof racks) after the lift with the stock 265's and someone also measure the same thing that has the lift along with 285's. This would be a huge help as I'm wanting to order the lift now and have it here when the vehicle is delivered. Thanks in advance for your help!

Can't give you a measurement, but I have the toytec 3" lift, 285/70/17 ko2s, and a gobi stealth rack, and I still got into a standard garage by the skin of teeth. It's so close that each time I go in (I usually park outside), I open the sunroof and pull in very slowly while watching the tallest front portion of the rack slide just under the garage.

I can get you measurements tomorrow, but if I fit, I don't see why you wouldn't unless you also have a tall rack.

I have the lift but still on the factory tires (265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapler) and factory roof rack and I can no longer fit in a clients garage in DC that has a 6' 2" max height but I can get through the other side that has a 6' 4" max height.

I fit with absolutely no problem in my home garage which can not fit a full size Land Cruiser for example.

Not exact numbers but I hope it gives you an idea.

Something else to think about is that the rear hatch when open is taller than the truck. With the lift and 295s I have plenty of clearance in my home garage to pull in, but roughly an inch of clearance to the hatch when opened and no cargo loaded. I got lucky there.

Good point! My home garage has 6' 10" of clearance. The lift gate does hit when open. I did remove the metal foot-plate from the bottom of the garage door so it doesn't scratch the car and it's just the rubber weather strip that makes contact. Did the same on the other door to avoid the same on the mini-van.

Did that in my LE Runner (busted plastic brackets for camera/hatch opener) & just destroyed and I mean destroyed my TRD Pro spoiler this past Mothers Day pulling out forgot about clearance. Yes, I'm an idiot...Just an insurance claim. Ughhhh. I got accident forgiveness though ;-)

My garage 6'10" (just measured) and as noted above I destroyed my spoiler pulling out. Note: I reverse in garage, so was pulling out front first with lift gate up.
With the TRD Pro Toytec lift and the standard Nitto's that come on Runner I have roughly 7" left of clearance including Runner roof rack bars & antenna. Of course that is with lift gate down. LOL.
