TRD Pro Suspension Availability

So then all comparisons of suspensions would be apples to oranges. Fox, Icon, Toytec, Bilstein, TRD-P, Walker Evans, Kings, Radflo, Camburg, SAW etc etc can not be compared because each individual setup is different and varies even further when you take valving and spring rate into it. That's essentially what you're saying. I don't agree. Obviously there are many variations (as listed above) and no two setups are the same when cross comparing brands, however, you can take into account other things that are not measurable. Customer support, build quality, warranty, adjustability, travel, rebuildability. Those things can be compared in my opinion. At some point someone is going to have to decide between two different setups and are going to compare them against one another. You list the pros and cons of each and make the best choice between the two, no matter if they are apples or oranges.

Ok....that's not what I am saying, but how you interpret it.
I said "how the suspension handles or felt ride of the vehicle when using the two different suspensions mentioned".
Nothing more, nothing less.
Yes, I am quite aware of the variations of differently matched components etc.

Wouldn't the trd pro suspension on a kdss 4runner make the kdss lean even worst considering the driver side coil over is set high then the passenger side to compensate for the driver side lean on a non kdss 4runner?

Okay, so I just bought the 4runner trd pro suspension and was wondering about the different perch settings on the preloaded front coils. Someone mentioned that it was set this way on purpose but I was wondering wouldn't it have an uneven dampening rate on the front of the SUV due to this offset or is the spring on the right side a different recoil rate since it's set to a higher perch? (I don't know if my jargon is correct for what I'm trying to ask, so I apologize in advance)

Mango22 - I have seen several posts on the shock height settings relating to the weight distribution from side to side. The gas tank is a big factor. Here's a 5th gen specific search: "site:toyota-4Runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/ shock settings drivers lean vs passenger".

Question - Have you installed your TRD Pro suspension? Did it come with everything needed including hardware for the reservoir? Any other thoughts?

Thanks for the lead on the question I was asking. Also the kit does come with the reservoir clamps and hardware. I haven't had it installed yet since my local stealership wasn't $600 to $650 to install it,including an alignment. Im negotiating with them and have them down to $550 but there's still more room for negotiation since they don't have the install hrs listed in their shop book/computer yet. These are preloaded so it should be a pretty quick/easy install.

Sound like the pricing is waaaaaay off.
You should do the rears yourself......

Fully assembled, but one of front perches is set on first level, the other is set on the second level...kind of weird.

Also, I spoke to service mgr who referred to his parts dept and install guys on what I sent him...they were scratching their heads and said this kit wasn't in their systems yet so they weren't able to quote me an install price, so they winged it saying it would be 4&1/2 hrs plus alignment cost. That's why I don't have any confidence in them. I'm going back for rebalancing of my new tires, they installed. I had asked them to road force balance them in the first place...so who knows what they actually did. Grrrrrrrrr.... Feels like the start of an all to common dysfunctional relationship.

The location of perch placement is to allow/correct the drivers side lean......
Being that they are fully assembled, I would presume the install would be a lot easier and less time on the clock because there is no disassembly/assembly of your OEM parts for the install!
They should have less time than say replacing both front coilover struts because there is no spring compressing to be done....all that takes more time IMHO!
I would be pointing these things out to them!
As far as the rear shocks, you may be able to do those your self....pretty direct stuff there....

So the TRD Pro suspension kit worked w/ tour Trail w/ KDSS?
