Few questions about these Scion HU's.
1) Whats the main advantage of these vs going aftermarket? Is it OEM looks or fit?
Cost, at least it was for me. That combined with OEM fitment (in most cases).
2) These ones with bluetooth, does it work with iOS streaming from Google Play Music app? I don't store any music locally on my device due to space limitations.
I have givin up on the T10004 install. Selling it. Will work in SR5 Plug and Play JBL is a Different Story
Just installed mine today. Waiting for the iPod cable to come in tomorrow![]()
Now, this one that you've installed does not have bluetooth, right?
So no hands free phone calls?
I like it a lot, but hands free calling is a necessity for me.
Correct, no Bluetooth, but the price was very right. The T1819 is the first to have Bluetooth.
Here are my notes! The upgrade was SUPER simple and worth it! The AUX doesn't work UNLESS you do the resister mod below (after the mod the AUX works perfectly!). I'll post all the pics to my profile page after I get them off the camera.
It looks good in the truck (updates the display), sounds better (not going to blow your socks off but it IS better) and the iPod functionality is really nice to have.
How to reprogram the display (this is fun to change from Scion to "4Runner"...
