I've ridden White Clay a few times. One on the best places in the area. I drive all the way from Ocean City NJ to ride it. There is not much down in my area. Its worth a trip for sure.

Update: So I started this thread over a year ago and while we have been traveling, we really have been going back to the "same old" "same old" places and not been taking pictures much. My daughter has graduated college with her BSN (taking boards next week) and the son will be a junior working on his BSME. He plays college soccer and this summer is playing PDL soccer in Florida. We decided to take a week to go down there to watch three of his games and I heard there were some great trails there, so I loaded up my bike and off we went!
Now I really suck at taking pictures and people like [MENTION=66300]Intruder[/MENTION] and [MENTION=93894]J-BlickPhoto[/MENTION] really are amazing with their skills so continue to follow at your peril!
As most know even though I am old(er) I love to ride mountain bikes right? I ride almost every day locally and a few times a month I ride in NC and SC when visiting my daughter. First chance to ride in Florida and it was amazing!
I rode 31 miles (12 morning, 19 afternoon) of single track and I was worn out. Ended up riding almost 75 miles of trails in 4 days of riding. Everything was level mostly (Florida, duh) but there were lots of challenging natural and man made features that took a lot of "intestinal fortitude" to ride and never mind it's Florida in June. Anyway, took lots of crappy pics but here is one of the local wildlife that just happened across the trail while I was stopped taking a drink:

Red touches yellow you are dead fellow. That's a coral snake in the above post I believe. Ended up seeing another one of those, some white scorpions and an alligator next to a trail as it wound close to some water. Between that and the massive spider webs going across the expert trails you guys have some interesting stuff in the woods down there!
Anyway, more pics:
1. Shot of the 4Runner in Florida
2. Drop in at the quarry. Notice that little wooden square in the top middle of the pic? That's a platform to ride out and drop in around 30 ft to the ramp below. I did not do it...
3. Ramps to learn on. the left one drops down a few feet to a dirt ramp below. The middle drops down about 4 ft to a ramp below and the far right drops about 8 feet to another dirt ramp. I did the left one and the middle. Broken stuff hurts too much to do the right ramp.
4. Samples of webs that I cleaned out during a 6 am ride. I had so many on the front of my bike and helmet it looked like I was draped in cloth. I really tried to make this pic look good, with the light and all but it looks like every other crap photo I took.
As far as off roading I did go for several miles going to a trailhead in a National Forest but hey, it's sand...and more sand...and even more sand... so no pics of aired down tires lol.
Anyway, thanks for reading and will post more when I go to a different place again.

Still take pictures of the same old same old. Try taking them from different angles and things like that to see how the perspective and composition makes things look different. It'll make you a better photographer for when you go somewhere different and want to get memorable pictures. Things like the Eiffel Tower and Golden Gate Bridge have been photographed millions of times, but every so often you see a picture of a landmark with a unique take that makes it stand out.
