All the anti-lib comments are hilarious. My comment was a spoof of the texas bleeding bush fan but no one mentioned that one. Regardless of spoof, it has truth to it and it's killing convservatives to the core as seen by the replies to my posts. To not give Obama credit is silly. To believe that this would not have happened if not for Obama is silly as well.

Word parse and see red when you reply with closed-minded caricatures of yourselves. Have at it, righties!

Give credit to the only ones who truly accomplished the mission: The US Armed Forces in general and the Seals in particular.

Osama's days were numbered. It was just a matter of time before we took him out. Hopefully, the majority of members here (and Americans for that matter) don't think that the current President was responsible for his demise. If Obama had it his way, I doubt that it would have ended like this. This was a mission that our Country could not deny no matter who is in the oval office!

How did he want it to end?

How was it a matter of time? It took continued support and resources from the top to make this a reality.

BTW----- He was emphatic about going after Osama in the past and has upped military efforts to do so. He didn't create the master plan to raid the mansion, he didn't lead the teams going in there, he didn't do any of that. He is not a soldier, he is the POTUS. He did know what was happening because he gave he green light. In fact, he made it a goal of his admin. Mission accomplished. A little objectivity will go a long way.

Kind of contradictory, don't you think? Truthfully, it shouldn't matter who the President is (but we know it does).

This is a true "Mission Accomplished," and President Obama is in charge.

Exactly! Great Job, President Obama! Great job to the Intelligence Agencies and to the troops who executed the operation! There is enough good in what happened to give credit to all that were involved.

The should not be about who takes credit. Bush was just as instrumental in this as Obama, because they both unleashed the American military on people who had been actively fighting America for decades. My mom could have given the damn order for all that it matters. This was not a victory for Obama, nor was it a victory for Bush, this was a victory for America. The CIA deserves credit, JSOC deserves credit, and the SEALs deserve (most of the) credit... crediting Obama with killing bin Laden not only de-emphasizes the hard work of thousands of people, it cheapens the sacrifices made, the lives, given, of all the people who were on the job before he was sworn into office.

Don't even get me started on the blatant hypocrisy of his campaign rhetoric compared with his crowing last night.

Sounds like something fox news and glenn beck would say.

Whatever.

Yeah, Obama had zero input and no idea what was going on. All that happened was that he received a text to ask for a green light.

Baloney.

As I said, this is killing conservatives to the core. It is so funny to see the deflection of any credit to Obama and co.

A trillion dollars to find an NBA sized dude without a razor maxin and relaxin in a pakistan suburb. Unbelievable it took so long. Finally, it was done. Mission accomplished.

And for anyone who thinks "their" politicians are to be proud of, I feel for you. Dems and Cons are both full of carp and are wasting money and making decisions based on self interest. There seems to be only a handful that push us forward.
