4,840 lbs

- Removed every possible piece trash...no papers, no tools
- Removed spare / jack and tools
- Removed rear seat bottoms

Here's where I screwed up: Filled the tank this morning and forgot why it was supposed to be on fumes

:dammit::dammit:

I'm moving / beginning my cross country move tomorrow. I needed an "empty weight" and a "loaded weight" so that I can be compensated by the government for my move. I guess I'll redo the "weigh in" in Denver Saturday morning.

6.073 pounds per US Gallon. 7.29 pounds per Imperial Gallon. Just multiply that by your fuel capacity...taaadaaa empty weight!

Your empty wieght is 15lbs more than the weight I hauled up to AK on my partial ditty. I need to look for my wiegh tickets for my empty...I am curious now how the 2008 comapres to your 2012.

There's going to be an extra leg from UP to Texas added to this

Reading right from Toyota specs in their brochure.....The 4x4 curb weights listed by Toyota have the
SR5 at 4675,
the TE at 4750
and the Limited at 4805. However, they don't say if the TE is with KDSS or not.

I don't see how the TE with KDSS wouldn't weigh the most ,knowing all the extra components and much thicker/heavier sway bars that make up the KDSS system .The XReas suspension didn't seem that heavy on my limited when I took it off,and unless the Torsen center diff weighs that much more ,the difference in trim is mostly lightweight electronics stuff in the Limiteds. I wonder who on the forum has the heaviest 5th Gen 4Runner as I know mine is getting to be a pig and I don't even have aftermarket bumpers .................yet.

Another "where is the weight question" for ya is they list the 4th Gen 2009 4x4 Limited at a curb weight of 4530 lbs . The fenders, hood and carpet that I noticed are definitely thinner and lighter on our 5th Gens so where in the heck is the extra weight? I know they beefed up the frame with supports and doublers and added the new heavier duty 12 bolt 8.2"rear end to address the weaknesses of the 4th Gens ....but not sure where the 300 lbs more is?

Hello from Littleton, Co. 860 miles today. My 1 month old truck now has 5,300 miles on it. I picked it up with 7 miles on May 19th last month in Pennsylvania.

190lbs of Army Muscle and 1XX pounds of 21 gallons of gasoline? (minus spare, jack, tools and rear seat bottom cushions)

I'm was talking about Toyota's 300 lb stock claims of 4th Gens 4530lbs against their 5th Stock claims of 4805 lbs.Where did they add the close to 300lbs to our trucks vs 4th Gens?

I would say frame. I was noticing tonight how much more head room (like 4") than the 4th Gen Sport I had.

Weighed truck completely packed full tooday. 5,720lbs or 880lbs more than empty. Been averaging 19.5 at 80mph with that load or 24@65mph
