What batt. you planning on using?

I am already running a Sears die hard platinum marine group 31 in the factory location. I'll probably use another smaller die hard AGM battery for the starter and relegate the big boy group 31 to run accessories. Really depends on whatever works with whatever aux tray I use (tbd).

started the install of a cheap harbor freight air compressor in the second battery location. Note I mentioned started, I know why it was cheap, non standard connection for the hose. Now begins the process of retro-fitting to allow the use of standard fittings. Will post more when complete.:rant:

Tossed in a AFE pro dry filter. Measuring up my Avid sliders (which I purchased for my 09 taco) and making modifications to those to fit. Had the fronts tinted yesterday also.

I drove mine from the dealership yesterday back to Vegas, 250 miles of pure bliss.
The best thing I liked was having the moonroof cracked and the rear window open a tad and felt the breeze running through the car, not to mention the great stereo. I'm no expert but I think the stock 15 speaker JBL system is good. IMHO

Just ended a pretty busy week of interviewing. Had a few site visits, all in different states (MA, MD, PA and TN). The TN position, since it was relatively close, I decided to just drive and get a change of scenery from being in airport terminals. Felt good being back behind the wheel of the rig after all that flying. :lookout:

Pulled the ROAM from down back.....never even used 4wd, didn't even slip...manI love this truck.

With all beautiful weather here, got to get the camper ready for OEX training on the 18th, 19th, and 20th....

and being my boy jonseyyy got himself a winch bumper, I don't have to worry about getting stuck!!...:biggrin2:

Finished the hardware side of my Compressor install. Still need to get a relay and run a switch inside the cab. For now I am using battery clamps direct off the battery if I need to use the compressor.

Visited my sister and her husband to show it off. Felt good to get the brother-in-laws approval. He has the Tundra Rock Warrior, so for once it was great to have the better vehicle in my eyes.

Took the 4Runner off-road for the first time! I went back on the farm to do some target and clay pigeon shooting with some friends. The truck did great!

We're on a fitness kick and the wife wanted a treadmill. The one we wanted wasn't in stock locally so we took a 90-minute ride to Fredericksburg VA to get one (bonus: I got to have Steak n Shake for dinner). It turns out that the treadmill box just barely fits in the 4Runner with the back seats down and front seats mashed all the way against the dashboard. I couldn't even drive since my knee would have been crushed against the trailer brake controller. Most uncomfortable ride home, but still better than having that thing shipped or having to borrow a pickup truck.

I did some doodling on the picture, will try to add more later. I cut some aluminum sheet down to size and mounted the compressor with the two inch conduit clamp, the compressor has rubber feet at each corner which absorb most of the vibration and raise it up a little. As an after thought I cut another piece and bent into a 90 degree and used it as an endcap to limit movement. I still need to get a relay and run switched power out of the cab but that will wait a bit.:cheers:
