This was from our camping trip last weekend.

Fully loaded with gear, averaged 20.7MPG and during one stretch was pushing 22.7MPG.

Went down to my local Toyota dealership for my first service, thought I'd kill some time by cruising the lot to see what they had.
1 Trail Edition, 5 SR's and 5 LE's
Also in the showroom they had a old Diesel Land Cruiser that looked cool.

New Shoes

I swapped out the stock Dueler's for a set of E rated (all they come in) Cooper St/Maxx tires (265/70/17).
Can not believe the difference in the looks! But of course it makes me want a lift! Guess it never ends :naughty:

I also noticed a bit of difference in terms of road feel, overall I would say it is an improvement, got rid of a lot of the brake dive and I like the stiffer ride. Can not wait to get it on the dirt!

Replaced all the speakers with Focals, 165v30 components in the front and 165CA1 in the back and rear. Had the doors and hatch insulated. Waiting for the amp and audiocontrol to come in. Sound difference is night and day even playing off of the stock head unit.

We took a trip over the weekend to Cinncinati to watch the Reds/Brewers game. First road trip over a couple of days in the 4Runner. The trip was great and the 4Runner proved very comfy.

Was also impressed with my 24 mpg (computer calculated) on the way out (I reset the trip computer when I left WV). I did hand calculate on the way back after driving around Cincy and surrounding areas all weekend plus the trip out and a couple hours back towards WV. Hand calculated was almost 23 mpg. Not bad for a vehicle this size. :bravo:

I miss my Super Duty at times, but I really really love my 4Runner!

It didn't have a sticker price on it, it was next to a 2012 Land Cruiser, albeit to show how things have improved over the years. Funny thing is and maybe I'm strange but if they had given me the choice between the two for free I would have taken the old LC over the new one...:thumb3:

Installed my ARB skids, and used my fleaBay VIM cable to disable the stupid seat belt alarms, change locking settings, and make the lock piezo buzzer quieter.

Or make sure you have on your eye protection . . . learned that lesson the hard way. I had thought I had cleaned things well after the last wheelin' trip before installing by Budbuilt skids but not clear enough.

Nothing like wearing sunglasses (left my clear safety lenses at home) installing your skids in the front drive with a headlamp and flashlight. :guitar2:
