No! That shit is nasty! They make an auto specific tape.
I guess the Scotch-mount is no longer, this is the replacement for it (different lengths/widths determine the part#):
3M™ Super Strength Molding Tape, 03614, 1/2 in x 15 ft
Buy it from Amazon $4-10 a roll
I should also note that rubber vs acrylic adhesive. I have never used the acrylic stuff but thought this might be worth mentioning after I saw they have an acrylic based product. My experience with the rubber-based is the same as I am paraphrasing here: The rubber it more forgiving and easy to use/remove and sets instantly but has less bonding strength. Acrylic is much more durable over time but it requires cure time to reach its maximum bond strength (meaning you will have to make sure it stays in place while it cures)
That said I would still stick (LOL) with the rubber-based adhesive like I linked too, I have no idea what it is like to try and remove the acrylic-based stuff.

Old folks tend not to sleep so much - I am typically awake by then, up shortly after. Just when I could be sleeping in - I cannot.

Oh... I guess I've been old all my life then! I have never been one to sleep in. Even on my days off I'm usually up around 5 or so.
That said- work completely blows for me this time of year. If it wasn't for the kids I would probably hate Xmas- as bad as that sounds!

The other day I noticed a grinding sound. Got home and found I was missing a lug nut. Turns out, I was either driving for the last three thousand miles with only one tight lug (from my last service) or someone was trying to steal my wheel from in front of my house.

To answer the thread...
I drove mine from NC to CO... 1700 miles for the holiday. Wife and 3 dogs, loved it. Saved $150 by sleeping in the back too with everything folded down.
