Last week I had my LED light bars installed, but felt that the wiring job was kind of slapdash. So today
I had the wiring redone by Mitch at Adventure Wired, who did a really first-rate, pro job. I'm much happier
with it now.
The original wiring was routed under the weatherstrip on the roof and alongside the windshield, and the tech
left the weatherstrip flapping loose. That's been fixed, and the new wiring is routed through the roof via a
marine-grade seal:
Also, when they first installed the lights, they repositioned the fairing and left it with gaps under each end.
I removed the fairing, stripped off the old reflective tape and Gobi logo, and remounted it correctly:
The blue tape is just temporary, to hold the weatherstrip down until the glue sets.
The light bar whistles at freeway speeds, so I may try to fill the gap between the fairing and the light bar.

nice, can you post a link or part number for these? i'm guessing these aren't necessarily 5th gen specific? wonder how this setup would work with the king reservoir bracket... may end up going with the icon hydraulic bump stops that sit inside the coils

Purchased and installed the Toyota Focal speaker upgrades. 6x9 components upfront, and 6.5 coax for the rear doors. Didn't upgrade the rear hatch. Felt like they wouldn't make as big of a difference, do they? Took a quick listen tonight, and can already tell there's a huge difference in sound. So far I'm pretty happy with it, I'm sure having fully sound deadend the truck also added to the sound difference :thumb:
Not sure if it counts, but also installed a Directed Electronics digital remote start alarm in a friend's 2018 TRD off-road 4Runner. Was a pretty productive day

That system is decent but lacks in the mid area. Replace the tweeters in the dash with a 2 way 3.5" speaker and you'll notice an incredible difference in sound. I went with the JBL GTO 3.5 which comes with the appropriate capacitor (poor man's crossover) and they sound great for what they are. This is all temporary which I gather equipment for my install but they do the job for now.

Whoa, nice job deadening. I did everything except the inside door skin. Maybe I'll look into doing that in the future if I upgrade any further and the speakers get more power from aftermarket amps. Thanks for the tip, I wonder if Focal makes a 3.5inch mid that'll fit in the dash... Time to Google

Won “Top Overland Vehicle” at a Jeep Fest
So I decided to go perch my T4R and pop out my Tepui at my brothers Vendor booth of Old Dominion Jeep Fest in VA, had fun time going through the trails and took home the honor of “Top Overland Vehicle” got a trophy and everything! Here’s some pics and a video if I can get it to load from my phone!
