I spent 6 hours replacing the rear window and Spoiler after the Wife had a little ''incident'' backing into a spot at work that had a tree branch sticking into the stall.......I wish I had known the rubber track had to be out to insert the glass! I got it in but it was painful. Glass was reasonable but the Spoiler is ridiculously overpriced! Exploded glass sure fills the lift gate!:doh:

I painted the spoiler on my truck because I was lazy. Now I want to take it off and make sure I get all the edges and the blade recess. Did you just pop all those rubber grommets off and unbolt it? How about the wiring harness?

I went with an AOB switch with mine so I can either run with them on or off

I painted the spoiler on my truck because I was lazy. Now I want to take it off and make sure I get all the edges and the blade recess. Did you just pop all those rubber grommets off and unbolt it? How about the wiring harness?

Yes, hit the 4 grommets and 10mm bolts inside then use a trim removal tool to pop the black cover for the wiper motor and then the three snap-in posts on top of the spoiler. I wrapped the ''fork'' part of the tool with electrical tape so it won't scratch the paint. Go slow and gently pry near the snap-in points and then there is the light plug that just pinches and pops apart easily.....and it's free!

Swapped the switch for my OnX6 bumper light bar. I kept bumping the toggle with my knee getting into the truck. I broke 2 of the toggles off since New Year's in the cold. I thought about going with a metal toggle, but figured I'd either break the mounting or just hurt my knee. This is lower profile, though still protrudes enough to be tactile. It's wired so the red halo only comes on with the light bar. Unfortunately I goofed the hole on the first two attempts, so now I've got an extra hole in the dash for a while.

Today, it will finally be around 70 degrees and low humidity so I am going to try my hand at plasti dipping my silver bumpers. I've already done the back badge before, but it was a much smaller project.

Hoping I have watched enough videos to feel confident in doing this. I tried it back in November, but the humidity was way too high so the black turned cloudy.

If it's successful then I'll add pics on this post. One of the last style changes other than a lift, which is coming after I give birth to my first baby and I feel comfortable getting up and out easily.


Update: plastidipping was a success and will post pics tonight.

Those of you with raptor lights, did you make them run in conjunction with the headlights or did you create an independent toggle?

If independent toggle, that means you have to manually turn them off and failing to do so will result in your battery draining, correct?

I connected mine to the ignition; leds on when truck is on.

I wired mine to the parking lights. Tapped off of the green wire.

How'd you mitigate the rubbing?

It’s not as bad as you think. I’m trimming the front bumper and doing the high clearance mod soon and cutting more off the body mount and it’ll be done.

how did it come out? keeper?

Here's the final results of plastidipping my silver bumpers. I did 5 coats from a tack coat to a heavy and steady 5th coat. Was going to add glossifier to give a satin look, but it already looked perfect with the TSO grille. Prep and taking it slow is key. I only did one bumper at a time. Love the look!!!

Hey, hey!!! I just have the TSO grille. I was going to do the raptor light mod, but inspectors can be so strict around here I don't want to run the risk of having to pull them out.
I would like to add some ditch lights since I'm moving out to Chesapeake near the water and it has heavy fog in the mornings and some evenings.
