Yeah, but you have to use cell data. This is my biggest hangup right now for buying this thing

My wife used to hate 4runners because I have a 1995 SR5 22RE that I restored from the frame up. The safety ratings are shit so I never drive my family around in it. So that thing ate up all my garage space for 3 years.
Then I bought my wife a 4th gen with the 2UZFE and that made her fall in love with 4runners.
Then in November, I traded in my Jeep srt for a 2018 SR5 premium.
Now we own 3 4runners, but nobody ever drives the 2nd gen so I'm probably going to trade or sell it to an enthusiast. Only issue is that I dumped $23K into the thing and there's no way in hell anybody is gonna even pay $10K for a 2nd gen. The body is mint but the interior needs some loving still (still the oem blue and missing some trim bits here and there).

My 2019 Limited
Been following for several months. Hit 5,000 miles today and put new Moto Metal 991 20x9s with 275/55 Toyos.
2in Front and 1 in rear Rough Country for XREAS spacer lift. Perfect height, no CV angle issues and loving the more aggressive stance.
Removed a few months ago the fake wood grain trum and replaced with TRD shifter and grey glove box trim.
Added crooss bars for weekend camping/hiking gear.
How do I upload pics?

I upgraded my front bump stops by going with this thread, and these things are pretty cheap.

If you raised your vehicle, you need these. It's pretty self explanatory as to what bump stops do, but in real life scenarios, it takes the edge off when driving on crappy roads, speed bumps, and washboards. Trust me, you hit your bump stops more than you think you do.

DIY low profile roof rack for under $110.
This is my first post and for some reason not allowed to start a new thread.
I'm not into the 4runner at all but my better half, therefore I'm doomed to work on it.
She wanted a roof rack for our yearly road trip.
Well it had to be low profile since the car still needs to go into the garage.
I kept searching and searching but the price tag on such a rack is not worth it for once a year use.
So I started to look into other option. Being a engineer I have worked a lot with aluminum extrusion material.
And this is what I came up with.
I used the 3030 profile.
No cutting of the pieces. It is very versatile and almost anything can be attached to it.
If you like it a little beefier. It is also available in 4040 or 4545
This is what I purchased
3030 Black T-slot 30mm Aluminum Extrusion Kit 6m Angle Brackets Screw Nut | eBay
and this in 4040 M8 for the attachment to the existing bars.
M3-M8 T-Nut Round Roll T Slot Spring Nut 2020/3030/4040/45 Series Nickel Plated | eBay

unfortunately no.... the clunk is still there, but I think it doesn't sound as bad, but i could just be imagining things

yes. When inspecting my vehicle looking for that thunk sound, I noticed that there was bumpstop impressions on the LCA where the bumpstops were hitting the LCA. It leaves a circle pattern on your LCA if it's hitting. I figured that can't be good to the lifespan of my front shocks, so I figured its time to upgrade the bumpstops as a cheap insurance policy.
The OEM ones is hard as a rock w/ no give at all. I wanted something softer and taller, to take the bite off the suspension when it bottom outs and sends all that shock into your steering wheel.
I figured I already extended the rears, might as well upgrade the fronts. I just didn't want to pay 200 bucks. So Akkording showed me 20 dollar upgrades, so i was SOOOOOLD SON SOOOOOLD!!!! Now, i just need to replace the rear ones with something softer.
