Got out to Cleveland National Forest. Hit a fairly easy trail called Bear Valley Road with one of the doggos. Scratched the sides a bit and tested my basic off-road skills. Mostly dirt bikes on the trail but good for 4Runners.

Aired down and up successfully for the first time. Stanley Fat Max air compressor is an incredible little off-road toy. Ride was much more smooth at 28psi than 38psi on the highway.

Had the super talented Jordan at Northwest Crafted Interiors in Everett WA reupholster my steering wheel. Dropped the rig off in the morning and he had it done by noon. The original leather had developed that sheen/slickness to it and it was time for a refresh. Specs - Audi dimple leather on the sides, Napa leather top/bottom, red stripe at 12 o'clock, and red stitching to match the seats/door cards.

Installed my diff lift to finish off the front 3.5” lift and replaced the rear spacer lift with a Dobinson’s 2.5”. Next up an alignment and replacement of a torn CV boot I discovered during this weekend’s upgrade.

You probably know this but jacking your truck up that high in the front sacrifices suspension performance, creates terrible CV angles which result in torn boots and has you reverse squatting. Do your truck a solid and bring her back down to 2.5" in the front

Just used my 4Runner to take my wife to work and will pick her up tonite just in case the roads are flooded when she finishes. Don't want her driving her Rav4 in this weather. Hopefully the 4Runner won't have to be used as a high-water vehicle.

Yes she has to work, somebody has to feed the old folks, they just don't stop eating because there is a hurricane. Lol.

You probably know this but jacking your truck up that high in the front sacrifices suspension performance, creates terrible CV angles which result in torn boots and has you reverse squatting. Do your truck a solid and bring her back down to 2.5" in the front

Has a diff lift installed, but once the 230lbs from a C4 bumper and Warn winch are installed in another month it should all look good. Back has a 2.5" lift and front has a 3.5" lift.

Ground to fender in front is 39.75" and rear is 40.75". But I agree it looks higher in front in that photo.

Had a lot of upgrades done this week.

Front end: Warn LoPro bumper, transferred my PIAA LP 560's over from my bull bar, DD SS3 sport fog yellow lights, new LED Sylvania lo beam bulbs, 4Raptor lights.

I finally received all of the parts for my lift install and got that done!

My setup is:

• Bilstein UCAs (51-304690)
• Icon 52700 rear springs
• Firestone rear airbags
• Elka 2.0 IFP front coilovers + rear shocks (Elka 2.0 IFP)

Total lift ended up being 3".

I have only gone off road once with it so far. Old state roads in Francis Marion. No need for 4wd at all, lol.
31 psi just made the Limited feel more comfortable, especially over bumps etc.
The tires I have are low grade unknowns, Sailun Terramax HLT. They are new, so they will ride better due to being new.
38 is just too stiff, as well as 36 on this truck as it sits, stock.
If I were to off road with these tires, I would lower to mid 20s, just to ensure tires have flex over rip rap rock.
As far as durability. If too low, outside wears faster, if too high inside inside wears faster.. Thats about as far as I can asses driving with different pressures on this set of tires.

In the process of replacing the ADD on my 2011 SR5 so I took this time to change the transfer case fluid and both diffs.

Changed oil at 1,100 miles. Oil looked brand new, but the filter was dirtier than I expected. Maybe not necessary, but peace of mind having the factory oil and filter plus any machining residue out. Trying Valvoline advaced full synthetic and oem filter.
