The color of the skid plate has always annoyed me. I took care of it today and it is on of the most satisfying things I've done to the 4Runner!

It's an accessory display above the radio that is more than just a clock. Range, outside temp, compass, and clock. it also flashes across the MTS selection when you choose it from up above. I believe it was orange in the Trail Editions from 10-13 and one year in blue in 2014. A member OldRed made a harness for people to install the blue ones, if they could get them, into their later years. At least I think that's the story.
I got lucky and the previous owner actually installed one in my 2018. Just dumb luck that my dealer had my 4R on the lot when I was buying with the completely rare display in it. I thought it was normal until someone pointed it out here a few months ago.
You need to calibrate your compass, the little dot is still there.

Chaged the rear differential fluid at 314K miles, which about 55K miles on the fluid. It was sparkling clean. Some residue on the drain plug magnet. Used a Home Depot gallon sized garden sprayer and Valvoline 75w90 Synthetic w/ LS.

"new to me" 21 Nightshade got some more shade today... window tint. Next up is find the best posts about tire size on these 20's. I'm looking at the 275/55/20 BFGs.

Thank you! No, it was just a flat black paint and primer from Lowe's. I removed the letters on mine vs taping them off. They are held on my double sided tape so I just scraped off the old and put new tape over it.

Are your wheels the aftermarket Pros in grey? If so, can you post a side profile of your 4Runner?
Nice wheels, what color of your 4runner? Do you have photo of the whole car?
I got a Lunar Rock looking to replace oem with those new heritage bronze wheels.

Changed the transfer case oil at 315K miles. I believe this was the 3rd time. Used Mobil Delvac 75w90 Synthetic. Hope I don't violate my warranty.:jk:

Had a flange nut come off the rear hatch door handle which was rattling around inside the door. Also the other nut was almost falling off making the handle loose. So I pulled the interior cover off and reinstalled and tightened all nuts. Did some cleaning as there was a lot of dust from off-roading. Very easy job with the hardest part carefully prying the interior panel off.
