That's just the first thing that comes to mind. The LEDs are bright, but shouldn't be blinding oncoming traffic if they're aimed correctly.

Did some mall mods today. Actually, this was for aesthetics and safety, especially on a black vehicle. Purchased 4 strips of 3M red reflective tape for my side view mirrors. $5 test. I really like it, although, I will have to do a better job with larger pieces to get this to contour better and fill in a little more at the ends. This stuff is not very pliable and it is for flat surfaces only. The Tufskinz are nice and cut perfectly to size, but they are not reflective. I like the look and function.

How about driving with your lights on for more visibility. Think that would work better than reflective tape.

not my pic but I don't think they are X-ice. I have 1 year old X-ice so fairly new and they don't look like that. could be a newer version but doubt it. they don't look like blizzaks either which is another popular winter tire

Did coolant, oil and spark plugs at 100k. Also, did the oil and spark plugs in the wife's Volvo XC60. Let me tell you, the plugs are way easier to get to on a transverse mounted 4-banger than they are on the 1GR-FE with those dang secondary air injection pumps sitting right on top of them :nod:
The tires are NOKIAN HAKKAPELIITTA 9 studded in stock size 265-70-17. They are popular in my neck of the woods.

I’ve run earlier versions on other vehicles down here. Those folks know snow, so their snow tires just work so well.

I ordered it from amazon, and it was a direct replacement for pillar trim panel and there were no instructions provided, but I fished the wires thru the top gromets and down to each tail light and it was plug and play! has a nice start up sequence, and sequential turning signal, and is very bright!

Tried to prepare it for the first winter in Ohio. Went through 15 cans of CRC, hit just about everything on the belly, and pulled off the bumpers to get as much sheet metal as I could. If you’re undercoating DIY, highly recommend those 360 sprayer wands - they are huge for hitting the inside of frame! Fingers crossed this stuff actually works. Nothing seems to take it off except a good bit of mineral spirits.
