Installed a Hilux 167 snorkel! I'll post a thread with few pics and some tips on how to make the install go smoother. I think I can start my official build thread now...

Excitedly pulled off a working tailgate latch at a scrapyard and went to replace the broken one....

Where was this junkyard donor? What area of the state are you in?

I did a thing with this awesome purchase. Why did I wait so long to get this. Such a great product.
Good call - those things rule! Makes opening the hood a pleasurable event. Leon of Spiker is a great guy to work with, too. I switched hoods recently and didn't bother to drill out the rivets for the brackets - got a new set on the way.

Got the alternator regulator changed at 343,981 miles and got the transfer case output shaft seals and nut changed and alternator plugged at 344,060

Put on a new bumper!

Used to be warped up and painted completely blue. Looked like a damn soccer mom SUV.

All that's left is putting a few holes in the plastic to put the fender guard on. Tomorrow's job!

Mobil 1 full synthetic FTW!

My 97 finally blew up on me. It popped the drivers side head gasket on cylinder 4. Unfortunately it blew 1000 miles from home just outside of boise Idaho:dammit: it made it until 365,000 miles though. During the tear down I pulled the valve covers off and was incredibly surprised with how the heads/valve train looked. I have only used mobil 1 full synthetic for the last 100,000 and changed it religiously at 5000-7500 miles. I swear by the stuff now.

Lifting 2000ltd

Got the Billy 5100s today. Can't wait to get them on. I have a couple questions to anyone who wants to answer. Ok, so I put the TRD wheels with 265/70/17 BFG K02s on. I'm getting a little rub on the fender flares. Actually the biggest nuisance is the bolt to...I guess the mud flap (not sure haven't really looked at it that much yet) thought it was the UCA rubbing but a buddy watched and pointed out it's the fender flares.
My questions are, when putting on the 5100 shocks on front do I need new springs for the lift?? Will spring spacers work?? And, of course, will lifting it getting it away from the flares?? Also, same questions for the rear. And, besides the shocks what's good to replace while I'm at it?? I'd greatly appreciate any and all feedback on this. I'm still learning, LOL. Thanks in advance.

That’s a respectable mileage to get to before a major mechanical issue. What was your coolant maintenance like?

Started making new switch panel. Next drill holes and transfer the switches, voltmeter and usb outlets from the amazon generic switch panel. No more ashtray!

 This looks ridiculously nice. Did you fab the panels or buy something and mod it?

Do you have any links for the switch panel?

If you fabricated these, when are they going into production so you can TAKE MY MONEY??

Started the rebuild on the cs144 alternator. Unfortunately the slip sleeve was too worn out, so scouriging eBay I found a NOS cs144 145a rotor for dirt cheap! Whoot, also bumping up the output to 200a for future mods. I would have replaced the slip sleeve but it was the same cost I got the new old stock complete rotor assembly for. Just have to solder up the brush holder and jumper and I can slap it all back together. These are all before pics.

Bought my 4Runner a couple weeks ago. Did a 30k mile service, and changed the lower ball joints and the radiator. Heading out for a 2500 mile trip to Michigan U.P. tomorrow!
