These things fail over time, and considering they're a prime junkyard item, which make them 20 years old and as brittle as mine that broke, I got them from my local Toyota dealer
Bought a new 5-speed shifter knob too, here's the part number in case anyone needs it
Harvested instead of door checks from the junkyard this weekend, $5 admission $20 in parts

They are. LC OME 890's with shortened cone bump stop LC 5160's on rear.

Do you have a picture of the shift knob you got? Mines coming apart but I’ve only been able to find the vinyl one from the Tacomas instead of the ‘leather’ wrapped one that came with my 4Runner.

If you Google the PN you will see it. Not leather wrapped, just molded rubber

Tore the top end apart so I can upgrade to the Denso fuel injectors. injector #5 failed the OHM's test which was expected as that one was constantly misfiring....
One of the injectors got stuck on the block when attempting to remove it but using a drop of engine oil and working the injector side to side did the trick.

The leather one with the plastic shift pattern on the knob is 33504-20120-C0. There’s some on eBay for various prices. I’m sure the cheap ones are counterfeit but they might be good enough.

Do those just pop in and out? I've been meaning to do mine, but I thought I was going to have to pop the headliner off.

You won't need to remove the headliner.
But you can also "fix" them by pressing a little length of rubber hose into the void that will act as a nice little stay/clip for the visor.

One screw to remove then yank out carefully with a channel lock making sure not to scratch the plastic.
Push the new one in and reinstall the screw.
Done.

Did a lift wheels and tires over the weekend decided to do plugs and wires after doing so she won’t run turns over and even starts and idles every once in a while I’ve triple checked that the plug wiring is correct pulled new plugs after cranking it a few times and they were covered in gas making me thing no spark yet it will idle every once and a while no codes yet and ran fine before I’ve even put old plugs and plug wires back in yet still no luck
New positive battery terminal. I suggest replacing this with the wire off the battery so you don't put any stress on the battery post. The old one was tightened on really good so took some effort. The dealer try to give me another of the old style ones but I asked to order that specific part number because the new one is beefier and perfect for the terminal cover to fit on properly and the fuse box cable sits higher so fits better too.
Almost impulse bought one of these for $20 at Costco. Seems handy for tools, recovery gear, fluids and the like.

Installed Harbor Freight cargo carrier roof basket
Picked one up "used" from a local FB contact; it didn't fit on his 5th gen and I got it basically new for $80 and mounted it to the roof rack track using the low factory luggage rails, for now, and tube clamp mounts from Amazon
I don't plan to carry anything too heavy but will probably improve on the mount someday
Will add to my build journal someday, too lol

Correction
Valve cover gaskets replaced not head gasket
Nose cone rebuilt per Timmy the Toolman and Sean
This weekend chase the threads for dynamic tensioner (crusty/rusty) and cut static tensioner to support the nose cone per Gadgets recommendation
IK22’s, otherwise stock injectors, stock pulley, stock …
And hope it fires right up
