What did you do with your 4runner today?

Finally got to put on t4r.org sticker...thx momo!

Anyone consider Lamin-x-ing both the fog and the turn signal? That way they would match. I think that would look kinda cool, at least it seems cool-looking in my head.

Quick question, what's the easiest way to see if I have the bigger sport edition brakes on my 03 limited? Is it as easy as measuring from the edge of the rotor to the inside of the rim?

It really doesn't affect your vision at all. It just makes it easier for other drivers to see you

that's not true, yellow light makes it easier to see in fog and snowy conditions because the light doesn't reflect off of the moisture in the air as much making it easier to see further.

I finally pulled my running boards off.... they were nice keeping crap off the side of the truck, but that's it.

swapped out my bilsteins for tokkiko trekmasters from sonoran steel today. 3rd gen upper rear shock mount is inconvenient at best.
Need new front sway bar bushings, what do you guys suggest ?

You should come wheeling at Brazos Valley Off Road Ranch sometime with me. Or Hidden Falls!

I'm probably gonna make a trip up to hidden falls this summer! my ranch is up in blanco so its around that area. Hopefully i'll get tires + bilsteins in a couple weeks so i'll be more trail ready.

Yesterday, I decided to tackle the brake vibration I was having with my front rotors. Seems like the pedal would pulse and the truck would lurch as speed decreased while braking. I assumed worn rotors or pads.

Got some new pads from Toyota, pulled the existing pads that looked nearly new (also Toyota, likely changed when the truck was certified last year). Rotors didn't look terrible, but had some suspect rusty bits around the edges and looked like they may have been turned at least once.

In any case, I didn't trust them so I pulled them and replaced with NAPA Ultra Premium rotors and the new Toyota pads. Now the truck stops like a dream, no pulsing. In retrospect it could have been a bed-in issue with the pads that were on there, but eh, whatever, it's fixed now.

I was going to also bleed the brake fluid, but the fluid in the reservoir looked crystal clear and was likely replaced last year as well, along with the pads.

Today I Seafoamed and then swapped the spark plugs with NGK Iridiums (62k, ahead of schedule but I like to change plugs around 60k personally). Not alot of smoke from Seafoam, I guess the motor was cleaner than I imagined. The original plugs looked a little dirty, but not too bad. The back pasenger plug looked a little gnarly, though.

Runs like a top! Nothing else due on this truck maintenance wise until an oil change later this year, and arguably a power steering fluid change.

Not today, but this weekend: Daystar, Spidertrax, tires, tint and finally finished the headlights.
