That's awesome your warranty is covering it. I'm gonna play stupid, clean my truck and say that I've had an issue for 30k, they said they couldn't find it without checking the trans, then it gave out in NJ on the road and they were forcing me to replace it while they had my truck hostage. See what my warranty rep says then haha

Alex, before you go ahead with your plan I'd check Toyota owners website to see what they're records show. It might show it was water damaged and that the tech recommended replacement but customer declined service.

How is your truck still under warranty Alex? I thought it was 7 years/100k miles on the TCUV warranty. With your truck being an 05 and 2013 starting to roll around and such

Ok well I made the problem known at 30k, so I might have a case there. I agree that honesty is the best policy, but they effed me over for my brakes too last year.

I've had recurring issues long before flooding it.

With the help of URD, I'm hoping to switch to a 6-speed FJ transmission anyway.

I have the platinum extended warranty from when I bought my truck two years ago

What issue did you have already that you're just bringing up now?
From this post it says otherwise and that you're trying to pull a fast one on them. You're saying in this post you're going to lie and tell them a story other than what happened.

Whatever helps you sleep at night man. Just do the fj 6 speed swap and be a pioneer on the forum lol.
