People do make drop bracket kits!
The FJ components fit the 4Runner exactly.

Please for your father's safety and everyone else's, please don't run the Bilsteins like that! There's a reason why the spring perch is made to cover the height ring is so it holds it in place with pressure.
I'm surprised the ring didn't pop off when you released pressure on the spring compressors.
That is just ridiculously unsafe!
I'd expect something like this on a Chevy or jeep forum.
There is a reason the Bilstein instructions say explicitly DO NOT INSTALL PERCH UPSIDE DOWN. If it was meant to be flipped, they would have designed it that way!
Suit yourself, regardless. Post up pictures of the carnage when the perch ring lets go.

As a Chevy and Heep owner I demand you take that back! I also thought that kit needed to be modified to fit 4Runners, there is a guy in here with like 7" of lift using that kit iirc.

No modifications are needed.
The FJ front end suspension and the 4th gen front end suspension are exactly the same. I've heard no complaints.
I'd rather SAS instead though....

Yes, I ordered them in golden yellow to look as tasty as they are functional. For now I'll throw 'em in the back, or maybe strap them to my factory crossbars. No need for a roof rack yet as there's usually just two of us offroad. Looking forward to trying them out. I'll do my best to get stuck & make a vid.

Yeah haha all in fair play and for the sake of entertainment. I would have though someone would have called me out on here for faking it. As soon as he sent me the pics I knew I had to show you guys. It's good to know that people will give good advice for something such as drivability/safety. That truck will not be safe to drive at all. As far as a drop bracket lift, I'm not into them personally for a 4R. It works on domestic 1/2 ton trucks because they aren't as capable off road so they just lift them for the mall curbs they traverse. For the money I just think the money could be better spent on a better suspension to actually off road, but to each their own. :boxer:
