What's the recall years and specifics

live action!!

Leaf spring recall due to driver side spring potentially breaking and puncturing the gas tank. Not sure what years, might be all, 05-15. I know my 06 is part of it, and my rear springs are super saggy so I might need the 5100s to level it back out.

It's truly amazing the places you'll find off the beaten path. Got to explore an quarry and some buildings today and had an absolute blast. Went with an FJ and a Grand Cherokee and damn it was fun. Definitely some poser shots in here lol, but the buildings we found (after some directions by the local ATV-ers ) were awesome and I couldn't resist some photos with the rig. More photos in my build thread.

Finally got around to installing some new headlights after one of my cheapo aftermarket ones gave out with never ending moisture buildup along with the peeling. Went with some halos this time.

Debated with myself whether to wire them to the DRLs or the Parking light, but decided on DRL since I had planned on doing some grill lights wired to the the parking lights in the future. Only downside imo was that they blink with the blinkers which didn't look too bad when I tested them.

While I was at it, installed some LED low beams I have had laying around for a few months. Here is a comparison to my old low beams

Not today, but earlier in the week I finally got a new pair of shoes. The mickey thompsons did me well and I loved them but I like to change things up so I went with some 255/80/17 Cooper STMaxx and so far I am liking them for the daily driving I do. The skinny look still has some growing to do on me though.

Krayziekid...what offset wheels did you end up with? I bought the 17x8 in 0 offset. Love the way the tires look in that size, but was curious on your offset. Clean ride man!

Shed built

Completely forgot to take pictures :ybrick: however I (90%) finished my shed project which included haling a crapload of siding, 2x4s, and roofing. this project is ongoing however it is so much easier with a 4runner, wish I had my trailer free.

First road trip!

Maiden voyage with my family in my 2009 4Runner. Traveled from the Chicago area to the northern part of the Upper Penisula of Michigan, towing a pop up trailer. Great trip. Lots of great off-roading options in this part of our beautiful country.

What headlights are those? Are you happy with them?

So far they are nice, and I didn't have any of the issues with the bulb cutouts being off like some reviewers did so that is a plus. Won't really know until I get some use out of them. My previous cheap aftermarket ones lasted me a good while before any real issues, but the projectors were underwhelming compared to stock ones for sure. I don't expect these to be any worse than those, and I could live with that.

Really wanted to do an entire retrofit myself, but with the way my other mods are going it would of taken me forever to finally get it done.

Thanks man! I bought the 0 offset wheels too. Combined with the KO2s, I am really happy with the way they look. They stick out just a tiny bit and I love the stance. Not too wide. Not to narrow

Explored into the trails I found some more. Ended up getting high centered on a downed tree I knew I shouldn't have tried to crawl over. Had to call in a buddy with his Taco. It's bone stock but at least a TRD Offroad. He had some trouble in the mud but he got to me and got me off the log. I was down in the bottom of a ravine and I thought I might have to tow him back out after he got me free but he made it back up OK. He said it was the first time his truck has ever been off the pavement.

He doesn't know he needs to be in neutral to get into 4Lo. He put it in 4Lo while he was in D and it was beeping at him for awhile. I said, "Don't you have to be in neutral to get into 4Lo?" "Nah, I've never put it in neutral. It just beeps like that all the time." "Mine beeps exactly like that too if I put it in 4Lo without being in neutral." Guy thinks he's been using 4Lo for I don't know how many years and has never been out of 4Hi. I wasn't going to argue further. Dude's twice my age.

Not to mention his rear locker doesn't work unless he's in 4L

Cleaned MAF sensor and Throttle Body

Did an oil change, took me 2 hours. rusted bolts did not want to behave. I keep telling myself i need a impact.

I think i figured out what my clunk is. One skid plate bolt is missing nor was it put back on correctly. wacking it makes a noise.

Worked out that pesky center diff locker not working, an made a little room for these.
