Haha, doing my headlights today if I can trust the power to stay on for the baking process. Actually works out well, I got moisture in mine because I didn't re-seat a bulb correctly about a week ago, so I can dry it out too....

Which bumper did you go with?

Haha It's surprisingly simple.

Rigid's use what is called a deutsch connector and your factory is a 9006 connector. Look for the splitter and bingo!

Bought from these guys who have great products and GREAT customer service. I ordered expedited shipping and they contacted me saying it would be less money if I just did regular shipping and would get there in the same amount of time.

Appreciate that bit of info...that's awesome. So for a light bar you just need one, a pair of pods you need two, that seems to be the deal?
And if I don't have rigid lighting then I need to find where I can purchase a deutsch connector and wire that to the end of my light bars or pods wiring..correct?

and as far as your other post of seeing your rig from the outside for the first time...
It's pretty trippy I recently was in the same scenario being behind my chick as she was driving our rig as well ...so how many things did you notice that you need to fix or adjust. lol I found two that bothered me and thought damn I wonder if other people notice that, fix that right away.

Anybody have any experience with TC's univalve going loose?? I've looked at em and they seem in order to me, however this was wheel on as I haven't had a chance to jack it up and work on it yet

Nice! We walked the first part of the loop this morning and saw turkeys, then drove it and the kids saw a bear. After that we took the Heintooga Road hoping to see some more wildlife but no luck. Still a beautiful ride! The park is beautiful and I'm jealous you're going back as we are going home now! Have fun next weekend!

Had to drill out my front diff plug. Stupid thing was stripped. I must have torqued it too much last time I tightened it.

Got it out with a lot of cussing and drilling. Then more cussing and used an extractor.

Then lost the magnets in the diff case. SO... flushed it twice and used another magnet to fish the magnet pieces out. ugh... what a pain...

but it is done.

Did that as well. It looks great I think the LEDs in the door courtesy lights are my favorite

You should get longer studs for the front, I wasn't comfortable with the 5.5 turns holding those spacers on. Pretty easy swap if you have an impact gun.

Was bored, so I plugged in the Hella Super Tones I had laying around in the garage. Had them on my previous car as it only had a single meep meep horn.

Bumper is coming off today, going to bake the headlights and try to clear out the inside of the lenses, new bumper will go on tomorrow

So back in the early spring, some time in March I believe I was cutoff by a white pathfinder on wet roads and I couldn't stop in time and clipped his rear bumper. My lightbar took the brunt of the hit, but also gave way and pushed back into the bumper causing a fair amount of damage to my 6 month old fresh painted oem bumper... I finally broke down and bought a new painted bumper and a new LED light bar to replace the damaged ones. Here's some pics of the damage, it was mostly cosmetic

The paint was creased all the way across the bumper

It was also flaking off in large chunks

The bolt for the LED bar broke out of the mount and I pushed it back into the bracket, it was good there for about 6 months.

The led bar was also cracked, but still works, even with moisture all over the inside

My retrofitted headlights also took a hit, well the passenger side, all but the long top bracket were completely snapped

The headlight housing itself is also cracked, so I'm going to have to order a new set of housings before winter.... :tsk:

I even found a dead moth in this one lol

So first thing I did after teardown was mock up the new light bar. I have a set of the brackets that MojaveMadMan made. I upgraded and bought a CREE C2 Series Flood/Spot to replace my C1 series less bright LED bar. Unfortunately this one is about an inch wider than the first one, so I had to bend the steel brackets out to make it fit.

But after some prying and bending I got it to fit nice and snug

Upon discovering that I would need to buy new headlight housings, and that the spare set that I had also had broken mounts on the passenger light. I decided to throw my old lights back on for now and just mount the new bumper. My gf helped me get everything lined up since it's easier with 2 sets of hands..

Here you can see a better pic of the spot/flood combo. This bar is significantly brighter than the last one that I had, which I didn't even think was possible.

And here she is all back together.

As part of the damage, the bumper brackets that the ends clip into were also damaged, so I have to order a new set of those, but it's on for now and it looks much better than before!

I'll be ordering the headlights and brackets soon and will have another update hopefully in a couple weeks.

Dropped mine off at the body shop today. Minor touch-up on the tiny bit of rust in the dings and getting some satin black paint laid down. Also getting that bumper bolted back on finally. Now I wait for the finished product.

Towed my brothers new camper and went camping. Airbags make all the difference in the world when towing. Trailer weighs 4000 lbs empty.

Awesome! Ya if you get there at the crack of dawn you can see lots of animals. We saw a pack of coyotes, some deer, and some bears last time. This weekend me and the gf are gonna hike the Abrams Falls trail. It really is awesome to live about an hour and a half away, it's a beautiful place. Thanks! :bigok:
