What did you do with your 4runner today?

So my problem is an intermittent problem. Its worse when i reach 40mph or when i accelerate fast, and when i put the car in reverse. some days I have very few misfires and other days its really bad. The last couple of days its been constantly really bad.

I had a #6 misfire so I bought new plugs...I hadn't changed the plug since I bought the car so I figured why not, The #6 plug had carbon fouling on it / black powder coating. The #6 misfire was still there. So I checked the resistance of the fuel injector and found them all to be good. Even so, I switched the fuel injector and still have #6 misfire. I replaced the #6 coil pack without any change. I checked the compression of #6 and it was the same as the other cylinders 150psi I think. Right now I have the top/ plastic air manifold off and I'm planning to replace the Air manifold gasket tomorrow. I'm just hoping its not a head gasket leak.

I figured if it was a head gasket Id have an oily spark plug or white or blue smoke coming out of my tail pipe, or bubbles coming out of my radiator?

Got the bumper all mounted up today. I will take some better pics in the daylight sometime soon

I had a similar experience with my 02 Tacoma. It ended up being a combination of a bad coil pack, and bad plug. Good luck on figuring out your issue. Keep us posted.

Well when it rains, it pours.

Got the thing towed and still waiting for the official word (likely coming tomorrow) about why it won't start, but apparently my front diff is leaking too.... And to top it all off I found a nail in one of my KO2s....

Fell in LOVE with it all over again

I've been just plain embarrassed to drive my V8 with busted exhaust manifolds. Install DT headers this weekend and love it again. She might even get a bath this evening.
 
Nothing major, plastidipped the middle of the grill. It's a little sloppy so I will clean it up later. Pleased with the look though.
I also tried to install Westin in channel vent visors. No luck, windows wouldn't stay up. I will try Weathertech next.

My V6 has an obnoxious exhaust leak up front as well. I hate it. Here I am in a nice-looking 4 Runner and it sounds all ticky and sh*t whenever I give it gas

Also, did my radiator today after experiencing a bunch of HG-esque symptoms (reservoir overflowing, not draining back in), but finding no exhaust in the coolant. My rad was coated in mud and was leaking out of the bottom right on the backside. Hopefully this solves my issues!
 
Put my ditch light brackets on but accidentally put them on under my hood hinges so i got a jdm hood risers :D will fix tomorrow or the next day also installed a usb port in center console.
 
Got my RR2s and Nitto Ridge Grapplers installed. Along with my 4xInnovations sliders, and a custom built front bumper.
