Replaced the steering rack with a low mile one last weekend, eliminating the stock worn out steering rack bushings in the process. Still have a clunk when I go over bumps :mad2: Literally the only thing I haven't changed yet is the lower ball joints and wheel bearings :noidea:

I've replaced everything, including the LBJ's and wheel bearings, and still have the damn clunk. I have tried everything I can think of to diagnose it with no success.

Do you guys still have the front swaybar connected at all? I could not get mine to stop clunking till I removed it...
Might also want to loosen/retorque (while on the ground) the upper and lower control arm mounting bolts. They can sometimes bind if they were tightened while the suspension was unloaded.
Also might be worth taking a look at the skid plate bolts and making sure they're all snug.
Started looking into lift kits for my girlfriends xterra…. now im worried that her ride might end up taller than mine

Tbh most vehicles do unless you widen their overall stance as well as the tires. My 4Runner's borderline looking like that with just a 3" lift since I haven't added spacers or gone wider than 265s yet. Those things look like a meathead who skips leg day when they’re lifted too high in my opinion

Give these guys a call Welcome to Nisstec Lifts! Nissan & Infiniti Performance Suspension Kits & Accessories they are great.. and no, her nissan wont be taller than your 4runner unless you do a huge bodylift or a solid axle.
I researched xterras before I bought this 4runner, go with Nisstec you will be happy or she will, lol
From my research and her price range shes wanting to do 3" lift with 2" BL and 33s with spacers
Gonna give me a run for my money if I don't get a BL and 35s on my runner soon

I don’t think yours looks like that at all, I’ve seen most your photos and it looks fine! You need to get similar wheels to mine instead of spacers 17x9 -38 FTW lol.
