Installed Diode Dynamics SS3 Sport fog lights today.

First impressions: brighter than stock, but not by a massive margin at a distance. Yellow is a big plus. They are, however, much, much wider than the stock fog lights ('04). I imagine the pros are much brighter, but at nearly twice the cost that was not in my budget for now.

I have them mounted pretty far back on the sides of my bull bar, so that does reduce my light in the center a good bit. I may move them but I really like how they look there.

Currently battling factory wiring to integrate them and make them operate with the stock fog light switch when selected...

When your battery is getting low, on start up you'll get one swipe of the rear wiper.

Installed airlift1000 springs. Anxiously getting ready for boating season in Maine...

Wasnt sure how much bump stop to cut woth a spacer lift so I did 2/3 of the recommended. Hopefully that doesn't screw me. I also installed the airlines on the top like many others have. Only issue was trying to keep the airline 8" away from the exhaust as recommended. I will probably wrap the passenger side airline in plastic loom.

I ran the fill valves in unused bumper tabs for easy access. They're undetectable when the vehcile is on the ground.

I'm going to be doing the front diff fluid soon too. It's not a Limited-Slip, is it?

Correct...open diffs. Get yourself a pump to transfer the oil since you can't angle a bottle well to directly fill. I grabbed a cheap hand pump and it worked just fine.

some light maintenance work

Got some light maintenance work done tonight.

* added dome lights to the lift gate
* lubed drive shaft preemptively to avoid the clunk
* topped off the tcase - I have the stupid tcase actuator leak thing
* bled the brakes

I was thinking my brakes felt a little squishy so I went ahead and bled them. Last time I bled brakes was on my 91 Yota pickup and that was the typical down,open,close,up thing a billion times.

I did some searching on here and there was all sorts of info, especially regarding what the sequence is supposed to be. Typically, it's furthest to MC to closest. But reading through FSMs it looks like, at least for mine, its FR, FL, RR, RL. No bubbles came out. Fluid looked pretty dang clean too. I'm surprised as I've NEVER bled the brakes before on my 4R. It was not black or grimy at all. It was an even golden color. Cycled through an entire bottle. I'm thinking it's time to upgrade to SS brake lines. Hopefully that will get rid of the squishy feeling.

Oh also found that my stealth light bar (behind lower grill) was rattling around freely behind my bumper. The bracket snapped off. LOL

Check to make sure you have plenty of brake pad left. When I bought my 4runner the front pads were getting skimpy. The brakes felt squishy and I bled them just like you and nothing, no air. I went ahead and did the front pads and my pedal was nice and firm. Also check the pistons in your caliper they could be seized. Mine were not but its very common. Good luck!

You had the key on the 'On' position when doing the rears, correct? That brake booster will get ya .

Installed the Baja Designs Squadron Sport ditch lights some time ago. Used the CBI ditch lights bracket, very happy with all of it!

This past weekend I installed a Cali Raised amber lit switch, and moved the DAC switch to the dash to make room for future light switch additions!

nice! I used the CBI ditchlight bracket for my CB antenna but I think I'll get the pass side and put in some ditch lights.

Nice job on the DAC button relocation. How was that? PITA? I hate that the DAC button is where it is. My dog constantly hits it when jumping around or my kids hit it when playing in the front seat

Another option is to just remove it and replace with a blank switch. That's what I did to mine, I'll never use it anyway.

Nice, I added those to a van I used to tow a camper with. Huge difference. I put the valves behind the fuel door so I wouldn't have to crawl around looking for them.

As mentioned you may have worn pads, a sticking caliper piston or slide pin.

Funnily enough I've had the same issue with a dog hitting it, haha. It really wasn't too bad! I bought 5ft of 18 gauge 4 bundled wire, used some heat shrink solder connectors, and ran it through the center console and then under the steering wheel. Works perfectly, and took around 45 minutes, taking my time.

Had all brakes replaced at toyota dealer about 2k miles ago, I convinced them to throw OEM 5th Gen brakes on all 4 corners.
For the last month or so when the brakes are cold from sitting overnight or something (im in south florida so metal maybe cools down to 70-75 degrees overnight) they squeal like nothing ive ever heard until I manage to do some higher speed braking (example slowing from 30mph at a redlight) and then after that they are completely quiet until the brakes cool all the way off again. The squeal is borderline earsplitting with the windows down.. What gives? Is there an easy fix for this? Do I take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it for me?
