What did you do with your 4runner today?

Replaced my rear wiper arm with one ordered from RockAuto. The original got a big piece broken out of the top when I had some building materials hanging out the back window. I glued it back on, filled the gap around it with body filler, and painted it, and it looked fine for over a year until the piece broke again and apparently fell off in the road.

How does the new wiper arm work, does it apply enough pressure too get a good wipe of the window, I know the OEM arms usually don't work too well?

If the new arm works well can you post a link or part number, I need to replace or try to modify mine, it doesn't even hardly contact the window at all.

I replaced mine back in December of 2022 and it works just fine.

My OEM arm was fine in terms of the pressure. Haven't had a chance to try the Ultra Power 42704 yet. I'd go throw a pitcher of water on the back window to check if I hadn't just waxed her. LOL I will say I was disappointed b/c it's a spline setup attaching the arm and while the grooves were clearly defined on the OEM arm, they were tough to see on the new one and I had a time getting it seated so it would move when turned on. Perhaps a bad omen.

I'll post about the effectiveness first chance I get. Wish I had thought to check Amazon, the one [MENTION=723844]Ph03n1x24[/MENTION] linked looks pretty good and the total price with Amazon's free shipping is about the same as RockAuto.

Maybe too soon to tell for sure but I'm almost positive I picked up 1-2mpg since doing a full fluid exchange on my transmission. Would have never guessed!

I just bought a Pedal Commander for my 2005 4th gen 4Runner Sporty and looking forward to installing it tomorrow.

Has anyone else done this with their 4th gen?
What should my expectations be?
Is it worth it?

Thanks for any advice/suggestions on optimum setup for improved performance.

I'd return the pedal commander and concentrate on the things needed to let the 4.7 breathe without asthma.

Look at any combo or all of these:

Remove Hydrocarbon filter and utilize CAI design intended by the Yota engineers (or Dobinson snorkel if you go off-road), Thorley headers, some kind of Y-pipe (Thorley discontinued theirs - maybe URD?) and either a Gibson or Magnaflow exhaust (Borla discontinued theirs a few years back).

Once you get all that done - get a VFTuner remote kit and a tune package from either ToyotaWerx or VFTuner.

Installed Bilstein 6112’s up front. Replaced the front flex brake lines with extended lines from YotaMafia. Flushed the entire brake system with new synthetic. Rotated tires and reinstalled the center caps. Tested for flex on the gravel pile in my front driveway

The Ultra-Power. IIRC, they had an option where they don’t specify which brand so it costs a little less and the UP was the one sent.

Went for a little reset the other night. Luckily wife and I don't celebrate v day so I was able to leave overnight on Tuesday.

I finally had my appointment for my front bumper last Friday. Still need to paint. It rained over the weekend so it's a little rusty boy.

Didn’t have a chance to post last night but I swapped out my 3” Toytec HD Superflex springs with 2” Icon springs in the rear. I had to move my pan hard bar down one hole in the eimkeith PCK. I also cleaned up some surface rust and painted the rear axle while everything was out. Noticed my upper link bushings are totally wasted so I guess they’re next.

nothing like not reading the instructions fully. had to buy another set of bushings for the control arms, as i messed up the hardware twice. so now after actually reading the instructions and videos i learned. so waiting on bushings to get here to take the hardware out. painted my control arms while i was at it.

p.s. what a pain in the ass it was removing the old bushings and ball joints. listen to people when they say dont waste time rebuilding, unless you have all the proper tools. ball joint press is a must. very useful for other pressing as well.
