Whats going on with Demello?

Did DO ever get their 5th gen bumper to customers. I had high hopes for their 5th gen stuff but then it really seemed to stall.

bolting on parts isnt "Building".... you dont even have it yet stop acting like a Rubicon owner Brah

From the one who tried to betray us for a Jeep himself.

Give him a chance, he obviously has a good sense of humor and who doesn't like point break? Personally I'm still laughing...

betray? I had (still do) Jeeps before the 4runner.... I just realized for family and camping the 4runner is superior

This is off-topic, but I really didn't want to start a new thread:

Have the suspension systems of our Toyotas really gotten so complex that people can't install new coilovers and a-arms themselves? I haven't done mine because off-roading isn't currently a priority for me, but doing the suspension on my old tundra took two hours, a friend, and a coil compressor from auto zone, when I was in high school. If you have enough time to waste on t4r.org, you've got enough time to install your own suspension, so that can't be it..

Are people afraid of working on their own trucks? I always thought the process was educational, so you could better solve problems if they arose. I think it's more gratifying, too. But, to each his own, I guess.

Domello shop is busy

I went out to the Domello shop to pick up my rock sliders a couple of months ago. I posted a bunch of pictures of the crew and their shop. Do a search for other Domello threads.

Daniel and Tiffany were very helpful and pleasant to work with. They are in the process of developing a new 5th Gen front bumper that looked really well made. The sliders were my first pick. They are really top notch.

They also told me they were moving to a bigger building soon (now?). They need to. Their commercial/industrial space was a professional shop but very tightly cramped with all of their projects. They may be in the process of moving or off to display their products at a show or race. They were building a Tacoma for a race the following weekend when I was there.

Be patient. Their work is worth the wait. And please don't irritate them with your impatience. That's a good way to get a vendor to decline your business.

And guys, you're all too funny, but it's not totally helpful. I haven't seen Point Break so maybe that's why I don't get some of the jokes. But try to be sincere and helpful, along with a good dose of humor. I am enjoying the jokes, but we should also welcome the new bro' into the pack. Ex-Jeep guy that he is... (see my sig')

I totally agree. Demello, has been nothing but "bend-over-backwards" helpful to me. No, they don't always pick up the phone the first time I call but, neither did RCI and Budbuilt has never gotten back to me either. Does it mean they suck - no. These are small shops doing their best to keep up with demand - give 'em a break.

I thought the customer service and product at Demello were and still are top notch. I'm swapping out my DO sliders to Pelfrey's but just because I wanted the design touches of their sliders a bit more over the DO's. But the DO sliders were still fantastic.

All of these guys are small shops, and manning the phones is pretty tough when your crew totals less than a dozen.

If I have one complaint about DO it's that their users/fans tend to be some of the biggest dicks towards other companies on the market. I do not know why that is. Sorta boggles my mind because the company itself are absolutely no bullshit and lovingly run.

Some people are not ment to be working on motor vehicles. Especially suspension components/mods! Like many of us, you must be machanically inclined. If somebody doesn't feel comfortable doing a mod, I'd say leave it to the professionals.

LOL, not trying to slam DO.. They seem like stand up guys, but that bumper was suppose to be weeks out over a year ago I almost placed an order for it.. Sure glad I moved on. It would have been a darn long wait.

Would you really want to drive if everyone was working on their own vehicles?

Whats off the shelf Rubicon crap?
exactly what I said.... if it came from the Jeep dealership its off the shelf. Just like the TRDPro.... adding a lift and cool bumpers doesn't make it a built rig it makes it a modified rig... cool pitures BTW
