Well went to get my ccp today at 345, they wouldn't take me in and they didn't close until 5 with no one there doing anything.... now I'll have to wait till may when I go on two weeks of maternity leave, cause I'm an awesome dad/husband. Rant over, wanted to get my ccl so bad today!!

i won't pretend that kimber doesn't have issues. but, the issues do seem to be more prevalent with the non gov't size.

i haven't searched to find out when my custom II was made. so far, it has functioned flawlessly with 1500 rds through it. at this point, i trust it.

Every mfgr "has issues" and I'm not one to knock a man's choice in weapons, its not my concern. Custom II's and TLE's are are recognized as decent buys but I'll own no Kimber built after early 02'. 1500 rounds? You have a lot more shootin' to do. :) Continue to appreciate and enjoy that gun, I'd trust it too.
 
I like M&P's :gun6: My primary carry is my M&P9C fixed with Meprolight Tru-Dot night sights, loaded with Federal HST 124gr JHP, carried appendix in a Raven Vanguard 2 holster. Here are my girls:

I honestly know nothing about the suunto. Initially I had no intention of getting a watch, I was gonna get the Garmin Fortrex 401 but the store didn't have it in stock. Store clerk said this does all the same stuff and more.

It has so much functionality that I haven't even scratched the surface of its capabilities.

But it tracks, back tracks, set waypoints, project waypoints which is really cool. Gives azimuths, position etc. I use it with Trimble Outdoors so I can plan a route on my computer and download it to the GPS as a GPX file. Then I can transfer the data back to Trimble after the trip and see my speed, elevation changes, point of interest that I marked in the field.

Etc etc etc lol
