Wheel spacers what size with no fender flares? Handling?

Guys first off will wheel spacers provide less body roll?

Also i don't have the sport fender flares and don't plan on it due to drilling holes.
What's a good side 1"?

I have 1.5" spacers on my limited, which has the bigger flares. The wheels and rims I have stick out a bit more than stock, and beyond the flares they stick out probably an extra 1/2". If you're just going for a wider stance, I doubt you'd want anything more than 1". But be sure to get hub centric spacers, and not lug centric. If you make that mistake you'll get some serious wobble. Not sure if you'd be able to notice a difference in handling if you're putting them on with the same wheels you have now. I noticed a difference, but I also put on new rims and tires at the same time.

BTW, what part of the Bay Area are you from? I grew up in Livermore.

I have them on both front and rear. The rear didn't need them technically, but I like the look of a balanced wider stance.

I got my spacers from Low Range Off-Road. Here's a link to the spacers I bought: Toyota Hub Centric Wheel Spacers 1.5" Thick (USED)

These are actually used, so they're a little bit cheaper. There is literally no benefit to having them brand new since they're going to be covered up with wheels anyways. But the only cons I can think of had more to do with the bigger tires I put on. I needed to cut out and bend some metal in the wheel wells to prevent rubbing. It might feel a LITTLE touchier/tighter on turning, but I don't know if that was because of my wheels, spacers, or a combination of both.

One con is that there are illegal in some states. They also put a lot more stress on the hub/spindle, wheel studs etc.

Running 1.25" spacers with undersized 285's (closer to a true 265/75r16) and no flares, the tires stick out past the fenders an inch or so with stock 6-spokes. They kick up rocks and mud at the side of the truck.

I think no spacers would be the best match to no flares, personally.

:edit: I don't think spacers will reduce body roll at all. They may make it a little more stable when you're on the ragged edge of tipping over, but otherwise there will be no difference in handling.

I'm running Spidertrax 1.25" spacers. Theoretically widening your stance by 2.5" should improve handling, but I haven't noticed any difference. 1" will be the minimum you will want. I had some 3/4" spacers on one of my previous Tacomas and when I tried to put them on my 4Runner they wouldn't work because the rear studs stock out too far and were hitting the back of the wheel.

Get a rubber mat and put it like a flare (see picture). This is what I am going to do to my SR5. I found 1/4 inch gray rubber mat at Lowe's. So far no luck with black.
