When will the Bilstein 6112 be released?

Anyone have their truck setup on the 3rd clip (2") and 2" icon springs in the rear? I'd love to see some pictures.

Also, anyone experience any settling with the 2" springs? I'm debating between 1.5 spacer or 2" springs. I have both sitting at my house...just need to decide.

Cheers!

That is what i thought! thanks!

i was confused as to why it was being discussed and found it misleading.

FOR THE RECORD, SEE QUOTE ABOVE.

Upgrading the bumps to a Timbren active offroad or something similar can help improve the suspension, for sure.

The 6112 uses the stock upper mount, so no change in bumpstop location is needed.

It's the angle of the photo or the lense used, makes it huge.

Plus, the passenger tires are probably sitting in a ditch/off the road surface at a lower elevation causing the whole truck to lean that way. Terrible picture to showcase lift height on an adjustable suspension, but still a cool shot.

I'll be tackling this install with the 6112 and the 5160s in the rear. I opted to go with the Icon 2" springs as well. Any pointers for KDSS specific install? Videos from the previous page were a huge help.

:thanks:

Iv'e done this twice once originally and again to raise up to a different clip setting.

First time was the unbolt KDSS, struggle to get back together with jacks, ratchet straps etc, method.

Second time I used the instructions that King provides with their coil overs. Involves removing outer tie rod end and leaving the KDSS hooked up, waaaaaaaay easier.

Does this method work when using the method in the previous videos to do an install without a spring compressor?

Thanks! Definitely need to figure out my plan of attack, these instructions are much different than what I had originally planned to do. Based on what I'm seeing, I'll likely take out the assembly and take them to a shop. I'll have a better idea when I'm under the car tomorrow.

Feel free to PM me with your real world measurements (preferably on stock tire size) and I'll add it to the list.

Some lessons I learned from my install, hope this helps out those with KDSS.

1. Did not need to release the KDSS brackets or the LCA.
2. Unhooked the UCA castle nut and put tension on the assembly with a sissor jack. Doesn't take much and hit the assembly with a hammer and the whole thing fell apart. Watch your brake lines here.
3. Jack up the car higher than normal. I had mine with just enough clearance but need additional space for the KDSS pistons. I was near scraping the brake assembly on the passenger side because of the pressure on driver and vice versa.
4. No issues with brake lines, just follow recommendations from other members and use common sense.
5. Use a pry bar and you NEED a buddy to line up the lower coilover bolt. I used both hands, leg, body weight and was barely able to get the bolt hole lined up. Use a smaller pry bar in the eye to get a fraction of an inch of clearance and use a larger bar under the shock assembly to align the rest.

Good luck and happy modding!

Did you end up using a spring compressor or taking them to a shop?
