NOT a Scangauge...
...But my Ultra-Gauge is mounted on the left side of the windshield. Nice thing about the UG is that it uses the same kind of inverted-T mount as a Satellite Radio, so you can mount it anywhere you can mount a satellite receiver.
I like to be able to see mine as I drive, particularly since my DTE (Distance To Empty) is my default gas gauge.

Pretty much had nowhere else to mount it (except near the steering wheel). I was gonna get the "performance meter" suction mount but I read nothing but bad reviews on it. Someone recommended the "Panavise 809 Camera Window Suction Cup Mount" so I decided to give it a try instead. Turned out great and the suction cup holds onto the windshield very tightly. Hope this helps someone.

I used a SCOSCHE Grip it GPS mount from Wal-Mart ($24?) that has a long flexible neck on it. I did not use the GPS bracket and there is a T-shape nub on the neck that I cut off to give me a flat surface for the Velcro to mount SG II. Here are the pics. I might move the SG back underneath the GPS since the flexible neck migh allow me to bring it flush with face of GPS. I ran both the power cord and the SG II OBD cord between dash and door then under the bottom trim piece and plugged in.

Does the scan gauge just straight into your obd2 port and that's how it's powered and everything?

xskydivingdudex was going to use the console from a FMU but without the FMU itself in it, then just put the Scangauge inside instead.. I guess he gave up on that.
That would look really neat though!

The SG doesnt have a temp, elevation, or compass does it? That would make putting it there even better!
That would be my first choice for a mount location. I like to have the pockets in the console for all the crap in my pockets.

I have both a FM & SG installed, but not near each other. IMO there's really no way to mount the SG near the FM and still have a "clean" install look.
I'd like to mount my SG in the small space between the top of the rear view mirror and the bottom of FM, but the SG is too big.

So a little bit of a thread resurrection here, but Pikeman, on my old car, I bought a 12V port from radio shack for like $4 and tapped it into the existing cig lighter to make an additional cig port behind the console. This allowed me to hide my GPS wires fully underneath the dash, and not have the cord showing or taking up your 12V port in front. It took about 15 minutes to do and was a great little mod (using wire splices I didn't even have to cut any wires). Looks like you could use it on yours. You appear to have the old style dash with just the single 12V port, so freeing up that could be very useful.

In the picture I quoted right above, the OBDII is right where the white zip tie is. Stick your head under there and you'll see it.
