Sadly that is the biggest issue that we're seeing today. We're in such a divide that we get too busy focusing on the differences and quickly putting labels on them, that we are blinded to the similarities. And with any issue, it is the similarities that you need to focus on if you want to make any headway. The mountains we yell and stand atop are growing so big that we no longer can see the valley that joins below.

While I will fully admit that their regional coverage can be extremely biased, I feel like their world news has been quite good. Has it declined over the past few years. Most definitely.

For a politics discussion this is actually relatively civil. Even with disagreements it's pretty toned down compared to most stuff I've seen recently. Obviously there are the few with pointless sarcastic comments but still not that bad

Sadly I don't have cable anymore. But I LOVED Al Jazeera America. It consistently gave me actual news. And furthermore, I honestly felt like I was just getting the story and not having it interpreted for me. I have the Fox News roku channel and I occasionally turn it on. I shit you not, there's one show where it was all about watching chicks check their Twitter feeds on their phone while they commented on headlines. That's not ****ing news. That's listening to people gossip.
