If you are going for the round hole look why not just powder coat your trail rims black. I think the trail rims in black look better than these.

The reason I would like to go with totally different wheels is for the reduction in weight. I actually thought of your suggestion but my whole reason for doing this would be to reduce the weight that I added when I changed the stock tires to duratracs. It will not bring me completely back down to the stock numbers though it will help in bringing back some of the lost power.

Yea and I totally understand your opinion on this. I actually hate black wheels on anything other than a black vehicle. Its that "murdered" out look that makes it sick in my opinion. On a trail which is already without any chrome or silver trim...

That is what his signature and garage states -Level 8 Tracker wheels 17x8.5- but I have not seen him post any pictures of them. I know he had painted Trail wheels for a while.

Take a look at mcbpc's rig on page 59 of the lifted subsection. Stock trail rims. Black on black. Black rims look good on all colors. The few extra lbs of the stock rims are neglegible compared to these. The weight you are talking here isnt even worth worrying about.

I am looking to put some wheels on my Runner to kill off some of the extra weight the Duratracs added. I was looking at the Level 8 Tracker's in black.
17x8.5 6-139.7 -6

Are these a cheap alternative? I definitely do not want to compromise on quality. If you have any other suggestions for a lightweight wheel please tell.

I bought mine through Discount Tire along with the General Grabber AT2's. I really like them a lot and have never had a problem off road with them. Plus they are relatively easy to clean... come to think about it I've never had to scrub them.

Thanks for posting Deuce! I see you are not running spacers, so the question is.....do you think you could have gone 285's without rubbing based on the wheel dimensions?

I rub when backing out of a parking spot when I lock out the wheels all the way left or right, but not when locking out going forward... even though they are stock size, the shoulders are way beefer than the dainty Dueler HT's.

I'll get my spacers when I get back.

I really like these wheels. Seen them around and didn't know what they were but they look great!

I saw on another website that 16" = 22lbs, 17" = 26lbs, and 19" = 29lbs Please keep us posted on the weight!

Bringing this thread back from the dead lol. I just picked up a set of Level 8 Tracker rims for my silver 06 SR5. Still deciding on what tire to put on them, but can't wait to get them mounted! Been debating for a while now on what rim to go with, since there are so many options out there. Just decided to pull the trigger because I like the look and the cost. Went with 5 of them.... hope to have them soon and post up some pics

Shiney wheels that aren't ''pimp'' style have gotten harder to find with the trend to Black rims. I found the Method standard and the Mamba M-14 in machine to be awesome looking. I put a pic of each on the laptop and showed the wife......She picked the same one I did and I ordered them from TireBuyer that day. I still have Enkei's on my Mule.....very 80's but it suits the 1st Gen.ray2:
