You may be able to get away with an 0803 or whatever, slightly larger and easier to handle

Ok I guess im an idiot and missing something here. The HVAC Cluster on mine is out and I wanted to correct it. I have a couple of the OEM Factory Parts in my Amazon Cart but is this to say i can simply swap the NEO 3 in as a direct swap, or do i need to put the LED bulb in place of the existing one? Sorry I have never done work with lights before

Neo 3 is a direct swap. Carefully with small tools. You can actually just do an led swap as well. But Neo 3 is easier

Thanks I am going to pick some up for the controls, and possibly some for the LCD screen. As far as the multi settings where it says it requres a 3MM LED is there any non soder way to do those?
 
Wow, so much info, but I feel like I am a bit late to the scene as when I look at superbrightleds.com the neo4 bulbs are almost completely out of stock. Is there another source on where to get the neo4 bulbs, or is the only option running the 12v mod and running the neo4HP bulbs? And can I run the neo3HP bulbs everywhere that calls for neo3? Thanks, sorry if I missed this information.
 
Bump. I would like to do this mod, but don't want to make the jump if I can't get the LCD screen white

Yep, I swapped cookieroe's e7009 and swapped my e7009 from green to red. See my build post. Many others have swapped the radio from my understanding as well.

Not a problem Yosh!! This July (2017), it's going to be 5 years after the LED swap. Still going strong! Around that time, you did my instrument cluster (after MANY hiccups from the other member), again, going strong!

I must of gotten the wrong ones as they are a different color white than the other leds. Prob swap them down the road.
