03 Sport Edition looking for stereo upgrade w/ Navi

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some advice with my 03 Sport Edition V8. I love the truck, but the stereo has gotten a little old and outdated. I have the JBL surround sound package, with the 6 cd changer; however, I wanted to upgrade it to a navi system with ipod and bluetooth connections. I have a budget in mind, but I'd rather look at all my options before locking myself into a price... cause who knows, sometimes more money isnt better.

Any body have any suggestions? Comments? concerns?

search the electronics section, eclipse is the way to go if u dont wanna cut wires, and steering wheel buttons will work the same as factory... if u have them.

I to had a budget, and wanted Navi, Bluetooth, and XM. Here is what I found and have been very happy with it. Comes with vehicle specific wire harnesses.

Kenwood Nav

I have a Kenwood DNX7140 listed for sale in the classified section for $800.00. It is new in the box, comes with built in buletooth, i-pod cable, and high speed garmin nav.

Maybe not in the budget? Pioneer avicF910bt. Or the 710. Double din, nav, bluetooth, ipod, usb, sd card, cd, xm or sirius can be added. It is my favorite unit. Besides the avicz3. But, that costs too much.
There is a dash kit that fills in the tiny gap on each side of the unit. Also, there is a harness available to plug directly into your jbl system. You are going to lose the 6 disc changer. But, who cares with all the other media possibilities.
If you wanna keep steering wheel controls just get the module to hook it up too. (pac pes-wips)
