I looked for light but never really found anything that would fit. I would be interested to see what you come up with.
Anybody think about putting marker lights in the scoop?

Yup, I was looking for smaller LEDs to put there. Found some Ozniums on Amazon that fit thru 6mm (1/4") holes. There is an 8mm version too, this is the flushest design I came across so far. I was thinking about putting some in the sidesteps too.

Yes! My cargo lighting is from Oznium, and Phil is a great dude. I would actually advise purchasing from Oznium direct because they will protect you on your orders.
I have purchased from Oznium for over 10 years now and never had a bad experience.
Will look into those again!

I'm going to go ahead and order an amber strip to put in there. It's been on the list for a while now.
Or you go this guy's route...
Also, it looks like I found a decent place to order rock lights from too. Some of the prices out there are ridiculous.

I could see putting a LED Light bar in the scoop, but marker lights? :barf:

I did some looking for something that would fit the bill as far as true functionality for lighting in the scoop, even went so far as contact Aiden James Customs (built a custom LED DRL kit for the fog light area) to see if there was anything that he could fab to be put in there.
Long story short I let that conversation drop and still haven't found anything. My guess is that anything truly functional for that skinny little scoop area (It's far shorter vertically than the 4th Gen / Taco scoop for which there WERE lighting options) would probably cause heat issues.
I'm now considering some marker lights in there but I'm set on finding a setup that doesn't mar the look when the lights aren't on.

I was talking more about a foot long flexible led strip, given the size of the scoop. A full blown light bar to me seems ridiculous.

I love the "TEQ" emblem ....nice touch !!I'm running these flea-bay LED lights as markers in my grill. Don't know how long I'll keep them. I go back and forth on how it looks. $10 or something. Search Amber eagle eyes. Wired directly into the turn signal wires.

Holding up great. Have had no problems at all with them staying in place. Probably had them in there for most of a year now and they haven't moved.

Would be fun to put in a Knight Rider style red LED. Would probably get old quick, but definitely fun for a moment.
