5th Gen Marker Lights in Grill

Anyone have these on a 10-13 with stock bumper that actually looks good? The 14+ look damn good but haven't really seen any 10-13 that make me want to do it.

I didn't get a chance to take some decent pics, but you can see what it looks like in this video at 1:05 and 3:55.

Installed mine today. However, being unfamiliar with my 4Runner still, I spent all this time trying to t-tap the blinker. Luckily I'd tested and found the constant 12V so the grille lights are on during all stages of the multifunction switch, even when the blinker is pulsing. However I tested all the lighting situations I'd be in and the "blinkers" are always on when the parking lights are on, so the end result is the same. However when I upgrade like parking lights to led (lol since I just discovered I had actual parking lights today), I'll move the t-tap if I need to.

Ahh okay cool found your thread. I was able to reach the same conclusion with my multimeter. I was merely thinking it may have been much easier to tap the marker light instead.

How are your bolt lights holding up? Did you end up going with a different mounting option? I received my lights and looking at mounting options before I proceed.

I've been running the same bolt lights for about 1 & 1/2 years now have not had any problems either.

The only thing i noticed was the "dome" lens on 2 of the 4 lights fell off, so there is just a flat lens over them now (2nd lens which was behind the dome lens)... but it does not affect the light pattern as far as i can tell.

Oznium LED markers

Fun little weekend project. Oznium LED's front grille hooked up to fog lights and roof rack hooked up to on board lights on the fuse box inside on the driver's side. For some reason my DRL's won't come on now. Work in progress..

Anybody ever thought about making the side mirror blinker lights into marker lights by having them light up with the parking lights?

Might add a little bit of perceived size and obviously a few horsepower plus an additional 1ft/lb of torque (conservative estimate).

Good idea...I hadn't thought of that. I wonder if they'd overheat? I need to try that tomorrow and see what I can pull off.

What wire color are you guys tapping into to power the grill lights with the turn signals?
Do your grill lights flash with the turn signals during remote lock and unlock? Do they blink with your turn signals?

Green wire is hot, thanks I haven't looked at yet just mapping it out. How about flashing? Not sure if it's "negative switched".

So just run my red wires from LEDs to green wire on 4runner headlight and ground my black wire from LEDs? That's it?

I've been thinking about this and I'm going to look at making a dongle that connects between the harness and existing light switch so that I can tap into the wiring without actually tapping into the wiring. I'm a purist, I don't EFF around with splicing into a vehicles electrical system without a way of reversing it back to original. Call me paranoid but owning classic vehicles has shown me the shoddy work many previous owners are capable of.

I'm thinking of putting some in the hood scoop and in the upper grill. Hope to order an extra hood scoop filler soon so I can experiment with light placement.

I approve of this idea. All it would take is a relay to reverse the circuit off a "constant" wire tap off the parking lights. They shouldn't overheat since they are LED and not that high powered...

...I feel like that would be one hell of an awesome mod/write-up...

Completely agreed. Especially after owning a 74' Scout II where someone "wired in" a tachometer OR my 03' 4Runner where someone "wired in" a bluetooth phone system... I like my stuff to be clean, soldered, shrink wrapped, and coupled via a plug-n-play harness whenever possible.
