What brand battery though?
Yes, I have to Noco GB40 and have used it to start my car with the battery 100% disconnected.
I'm looking at a dual setup, and will certainly be going with a AGM battery. I still need to figure things out, but most likely a deep cycle 31 as an accessory and a 34 as the starter. Have looked at the redarc systems to make sure the 31 gets a full charge, as I've checked the current on my 2017 Pro and its like 13.4...Total noob here, but some sort of dc-dc smart chatter seems the best route....

voltage boosters help a lot, I'm charging my 31m with the HKB booster (with the exception of <20 degree days when the correction factor pushes the required voltage a little too high).
DC-DC is the best way to go though. Look at CTEK chargers, they are a lot less expensive than the redarc stuff I've seen

If you need longer, that's a good time to do the "big 3 upgrade" to your cars electrical and extend the cables that way.
Does anyone know the weight of the stock Panasonic battery? I have seen 60 lbs. listed online but that number seems high judging by the size of the battery.
Also, I ran across this last night while searching the part number for the Panasonic battery.

It appears you can purchase the Panasonic battery here from the way it reads.

Does this match the part number of the Toyota Panasonic battery? If so that's a good deal. If I remember correctly the Panasonic batteries only come in the Japanese made vehicles. They are not available to purchase thru Toyota. From being a parts manager of a Toyota dealership I can tell you the replacement Toyota batteries come from interstate. Sometimes we even have to put the labels on ourselves.

I'm almost positive this is the model of Panasonic battery that comes stock in our 4runners. I will try to pop the hood later today on mine to confirm the model.
I will probably take mine out an weigh it to see the actual weight. Deka has a battery that is exact OE fit and it weighs 41 lbs, I believe East Penn makes these batteries. If this is the case it would be an easy way to shave almost 20 lbs. of weight up front when it's time to replace the battery.
On their catalog listing they even have a cross reference chart showing the battery names after they are rebranded and sold at various retailers.

Just thought I would throw this out there for those who think Interstate makes batteries.
They don't.
I emailed them a few months ago. Posed this question and received the following:
Thank you for contacting us.
Interstate Batteries is not a battery manufacturer. Our batteries are made to our specifications and our automotive batteries are made primarily by Johnson Controls. We do utilize other manufacturers as well.

You are correct. Probably more then half of the batteries we use are made by Johnson Controls.

Ordered an X2Power 24F through BatteriesPLUS. It's a rebranded Northstar. BatteriesPLUS has 20% off all automotive batteries with coupon code CDP13175 through March 7th 2019. Same or better specs as the Odyssey 34R-PC1500 without the need for a spacer tray, and $100 less!

I replacement the OEM battery in my 2013 just last year with the exact same one you have. Doing great so far. Aren't many other batteries just rebranded Interstate batteries anyway?
One weird thing is that if you go to the Interstate web page and use their sizing tool, it actually spits out a 24F battery vs. group 23????

Are you sure the battery was even bad? "cranking under specs" seems like a load of bull to me. Typical dealership up sell tactic to quote something the average owner has no way to verify.
My OEM Panasonic lasted over 7 years. It's probably still running fine after I moved it to a different 4runner and then traded it off.
