Best Blue Tooth Option for 07 Sport with Stock Radio

Hi All,

As of September 1st, Alberta will have a distracted driver law. Caught talking on the phone, grooming, playing with GPS will driving nets you a 172.00 dollar fine!

We have an 07 Sport with Stock Radio (Non-JBL, but does have steering wheel controls).

What are my best Blue Tooth Options for Phone Hookup?

Anyone use any of those external bluetooth modules that clip on your visor, etc? Or is integration the best option?

I've used both the visor mount and integrated. See my sig for the integrated install with a JBL system.

For me, choice would probably depend on how much you actually talk while driving and comfort with taking your dash apart. The little Moto 305 clip-on actually worked surprisingly well for conversations. I just got annoyed having to turn it on each time I got in the vehicle, especially since the 305's power button required a fingernail to press instead of being a surface mount button. Newer Moto clip-ons have a motion sensor in them so they turn on from the vibration of the door opening/closing. They'll last forever (relatively speaking) if you don't do a lot of talking, but you'll still need to recharge periodically. If you listen to your music loud, you might not hear the visor mount speakerphone ringing while integrated will mute your audio to switch over to the phone (I *think* the non-JBL still has a mute input in the wiring harness).

I paid around $30 for the T305 and decided to upgrade when I found the T605 for under $50. I do have to say the Parrot CK3000 ($99) I put in the wife's CR-V seems to work a little better than the T605. Some of my caller's occasionally complain of hearing themselves on the Moto, but we've never had that comment from the Parrot. Of course, it could be mic placement or phone dependent as well. I have my mic on the driver's A-pillar and I put her mic centered above the mirror.
