Brilliant's Mod Thread

Really like the wheels man!

First time I have seen them on a 4Runner.

I stole the idea from another member. I forget who, but they turned me onto this style.

BTW the new duratracs are great, quite, smooth on the road. My ride is way better now. No wandering on the highway. What I had on there rode like a box of bricks

I just noticed your fog lights man, nice job. I did the exact same mod back in the spring using the exact same lights. I mounted mine a little differently though. Arent they awesome?! I also love the wheels. I wanted them the first time I saw them on a 5th gen. And that color is the best man. I havent seen many desert dune, but that color is awesome!

Wallet just took a hit. SC kit is on its way! :driving:

Did you notice an improvement with the Addco anti-sway bars? I've been considering them lately. Which end links did you go with?

what all are you going to do with the S/C? any supporting mods?

I am going to do the 7th injector and a 2.2 pulley. I have an email to URD to see what I need. Not sure what the URD kit does, and if I need something more like an A/F modifier on top of that for the different pulley. May also do a header as boredom sets in this winter.

Sways make a huge difference. The vehicle was so sloppy before the bars and now it corners quite well. Highly recommended if you arent needing to articulate much (or can get disconnects). I used the supplied links - for now. Im only +10mm spacer in the rear on new 99 springs and lowest perch tundras +0.5" front. Sags a bit when loaded w/ 3-4peeople and gear, but not for daily stuff, its level. Probably throwing in another 10mm packer and getting some better rear dampers.

Air Raid Intake Boot

Purpose: Deepen engine sound, improve performance?

Install is straightforward, remove and replace section and tighten the clamps.

I didn't realize the Addco's came with the end links. Good to know! Did you buy yours right from Addco, or a dealer?

rears dont, fronts do. I reused my rears. If lifted, you can move your rears to the front I've read.

I bought mine from whatever was cheapest, some online dealer. They are special order, so it takes a while. Might as well order direct if you can from Addco.

Very nice! Congrats on the successful install. You're going to have a good time w/the new addition to your 4Runner.

What's the plan for installing the Stubbs Sliders? Coming soon?
