Can one use factory rigid running boards as a jack point?

Last time I checked this was America. You want to put a hi lift jack on your running boards? I say jack away. You want to use your front bumper as a recovery point? I say who's got the tow strap?? Worried about fording that river without a snorkel?? Throw a rear diff breather tube on and run it into your air box...problem-friggin-solved.

I do not seriously suggest you jack your truck up using its rocker panels, attempt to use a plastic bumper as a recovery point or ford deep water without both the proper equipment.
