COB's 4Runner Timeline (Pic Heavy)

Sorry guys, no actual swap pictures, but I swapped rear coils with pbcolt today. I have 891's now. Good news is that I put both my OME trim packers on the left again and it's nice and level.

Supercharger is going in for rebuilt mid august.

Thanks, hope to get the real updates in by then. Finally starting to pull in some real money.

891's (left) versus 890's (right)

Hard to see, but the 891's are actually a small bit shorter.

Thanks dude, Yeah, I need to get on the video making and stuff.

Good to know. I assume you have a V6, because neither of those transmissions bolt up to mine. I do want an R series one day if the auto one breaks again

Hmm. I thought both V6 and I4 used the A340E/F and the only difference were the manuals with the V6 using the R series and I4 using the W series. FWIW I've seen some 2.7 Hilux Surfs use Multimode.

Both the 2.7 and 3.4 have the A340E/F's but the bell housings don't match. They also have different length input shafts and likely a different spline...

The gearing for the 2.7 is slightly different to accommodate for less power, too. I think Marlin makes a bell housing or an adapter, but I am not sure.

Idk how the multimode worked out, must be just a factory option overseas.

I just saw you were having a problem with a leaking noise on the boost gauge. Perhaps try an inline restrictive fitting? Like $2 at your local auto parts store.

Why wait until the weekend is over?

First off, this would not be my build thread if it wasn't loaded to the gills with photos, so here goes.

Let's go chronologically.

1. New EGR Gaskets from Toyota, $5.

While we were there, we bypassed the throttle body coolant line. It no longer flows through the throttle body.

Wow, that video was making me nervous at first. I am very glad to see you got it all worked out though!

Now on to the tough questions.. Do you always have a little red ford GT in the back of the truck, or was this a good luck charm of some sort? lol

0 to 5psi boost in 7hrs nicly put togeather COB. It is always nice to be a part of a nice build.

MMMMMMMMMMM.... Boost!!! :hungry:

Great work man. As I looked through the pics I was hoping that you guys had swapped the fuel filter while you had easy access to it. Not a big deal, but putting in a new Toyota filter can help out w/fuel flow a little.

Absolute pure sex. When are you going to run a dyno on that *****? How much do you think its putting out at 5 lbs? Does it feel alot stronger? I bet its got more balls now than our V6s, less weight plus you're only 2WD so even LESS weight.

OH PS WASH YOUR ENGINE BAY
